I'm looking for an app for my Nexus 5 that will lock screen when the phone is in my pocket. I'm at home most of the day and so don't need screen lock when the phone is sitting on my desk.

Do you have tasker? If so, you can build a profile that will do that for you automatically based on several triggers (including the proximity sensor if needed).
There are apps available on the play store (like delayed lock) that claim to be able to do something similar too - disclaimer - I have not used this app, and don't know anything about this more than the fact that the description seems to be similar to what you asked about.

I use SkipLock. You set it up to keep your phone unlocked while connected to either a WiFi network or Bluetooth device. You can set both at the same time. I have mine set to keep it unlocked while it's in my home WiFi, my parents WiFi, my car (via bluetooth) and when its connected to my Pebble.
