Is the Moto X still worth buying?

Hi everyone,

just want to know if the Moto X is still worth buying atm.
I can get the 16GB version for 329 euro (438.26 USD).
I have also considered the Moto G LTE, but found the Moto X to have better performance.
I'm mostly gonna use it for internet browsing, Youtube, watching movies and gaming.
From what i've seen the phone should be perfect for what i wanna do with it, but it's almost a year old and this makes me hesitate.

Is it still up to par with other phones in its class for its price?

Thank you :)

Welcome to AF UnrealPowerZ.:)

I have a 32 GB Moto X and I paid about $450 for it in April, full retail, so 4 months ago. I think if certainly holds it's own among the newest phones. It doesn't have some of the gimmick of new phones (heart rate monitor) but it is a horse, has a good camera, and mine is on 4.4.4, the latest version of Android. A new version (X+1) is set to be released, probably next month. As much as I like my X, I think that price is probably a little high, especially for a 16 GB. You may want to shop around a bit as see if you can find a better price.

The 32GB version doesn't seem to be available in my country.
I know about the X+1, but I'm not gonna wait for it.
It would probably be available where i live next year or something like that.
Also it will probably be a lot more expensive and the screen is too big imo.

The storage is the only thing holding me off.

My bf ordered the Gen 1 32gb for me a week ago and I'm totally loving it. Android 4.4.4 plus Nova Launcher (a MUST HAVE!) may possibly make this the best cell that I've ever owned.

And I kind of like not having to worry about whether something is installed or stored internally or on external sd card. Plugging it in to my laptop it's way more simple to find, copy and import/export stuff. Like with Contacts, I just pasted my vcf into the root directory and the phone found it right away.

The email that it came with is weird though....I'm looking for a replacement now.

I adored my Moto X. It was the perfect size, it looked nice, and since I got the woven black back, I could put any case I liked on it. The only reason that I don't have it anymore is that it was stolen, and I could only get the 16GB version through my carrier - I was told I could order the 32GB version through motomaker.com, but every time I tried to check out, I would get an error. I needed a phone, so I went to a Best Buy and got the HTC One M8 to replace it.

The Moto X is a great phone, so if 16GB is enough for you, and you can find a good price for it, I'd go for it.
