Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] Official LiquidSmooth Nightlies!!

Does adaway work like adblock plus by blocking ads on like you tube??

Do you know where I can get adaway? Its not in the google play store.

There is a module download available for Xposed Framework that blocks ads on YouTube solely. It's the last one on my download list in Xposed. It's called YouTube AdAway. ;)

Here's the AdAway app thread on XDA-

I downloaded the adaway apk and it appears to work perfectly on YouTube. Does xposed work with this rom? I used it on touchwhiz and it was excellent.

Yep. It will work. Just make sure that you pay close attention to the module downloads because not all of them are for AOSP. Read the module descriptions to make sure it's for the ROM you're running.

Also, don't install a bunch of modules at the same time. If you install 2 or 3 and your phones starts acting goofy then you'll only have a few modules to troubleshoot.

Well, looks like liquid smooth is giving me issues with apps not coming up correctly IE: they either sit forever trying to load or just never load at all. Even when I clear all tasks it does the same thing. Only fix is to use a task manager and kill the process and re-open it. I've been having that for awhile now but as of, lately I have gotten quite a few system UI closes also. Nothing has changed as I haven't installed any new apps or updated liquid smooth at all.
I am on the 4-30 version right now. I didn't see a need to update since it had everything in it I need and use.

This has only happened recently so it has me sorta confused as to why now.
It's too the point of annoyance now so I'm not sure what to do now. I could always go back to m.o.a.r 9.0 I guess.

I have a question that I'm hoping someone can answer. I am on liquid smooth 4.4.2. I have setup the stock e-mail for my yahoo account. I have noticed that everytime I get a e-mail from XDA on my subscribed threads that the threads are in the e-mail but they no longer have a link where I can just click on it?? Anyone have any suggestions on this?? I have always liked that I could just click on the link and it woud take me to the thread.

Try rebooting. Mine does that every once in a great while and I reboot and I have data again. Usually happens about once every couple weeks. Its not a big deal for me because the phone should be rebooted regularly to clear everything out of its memory.

Flashed the 9/11 build yesterday and it's running great. It's been a long time since I've ran LS. Looks like they've got this build all fixed up.

Just wanted to give you guys an update on the 9/11 build. The ROM was running great except for a few issues with WiFi. I blamed it on the ROM and went ahead and flashed something else. Turns out I was wrong and it wasn't the ROM all all.

After giving it some thought, I decided to make a few minor adjustments to my router. Even though other ROMs were working fine with the old router WiFi settings, Liquidsmooth was having some issues. I'm not sure if it was one change or the combination but whatever it was it solved the issue. I originally had my router set to a certain channel. There's a very good possibility LS didn't like that channel. I switched to auto in the router channel settings along with a few more changes and now LS is connecting to my home network with absolutely no issues at all.

I'm very happy to say that Liquidsmooth is up and running like a champ. I had read in the main LS thread that some of the others were experiencing Bluetooth issues. The 9/11 build connects to my Bluetooth devices with no issues at all. Just thought I would pass that along to put you guy's minds at ease.

Also, even though I live in a low signal area and my signal is fluctuating between 1 and 2 bar, by golly it seems to be good enough. I haven't dropped a single call and call quality is decent which surprised me.

Oh...... one more thing I wanted to mention. I had also read in the main LS thread where some people were having issues with Xposed framework. I can put those worries to rest too. I am running multiple Xposed modules and all are working fine.

Here are a few shots of my phone. If any of you are interested in any of the icons, theme, clock, or other changes, just let me know.

1st off I would like to say that I am not the developer of this ROM. All credit goes to the LiquidSmooth Team! :) I just love the ROM and wanted to bring it over to our Android Forums Boost S3 section. With that being said, here is .....

LIQUIDSMOOTH!!

LiquidSmooth is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. This is one of the best ROMs I have ever ran on my phone and I absolutely love it!! Hopefully you will too. I am going to post a few links to help you find the main thread and the nightlies. Also note that the Team has started making unified builds for the S3. This does away with the pain of removing the asserts so we can flash it on our Boost phones. All you need to do is download the ROM and the GAPPS that are needed. Make sure you always follow standard flashing protocol when flashing the ROM and GAPPS (factory reset, wipe cache, wipe Dalvik cache). Both the ROM and GAPPS can be flashed together. ENJOY!! :D

NOTE: I HAD AN ISSUE WHEN I 1ST FLASHED THIS ROM. I USED THE PA GOOGLE STOCK GAPPS PACKAGE AND HAD SOME ISSUES. I WENT BACK AND TRIED A DIFFERENT GAPPS PACKAGE. I WENT WITH THE FULL MODULAR PACKAGE AND THAT FIXED ME RIGHT UP.

You do not have to use these GAPPS but I do. There are several packages to choose from and I recommend them all EXCEPT FOR THE GOOGLE STOCK PACKAGE. I recommend staying away from it. If there is something that isn't in the other packages that you need, you can always get it from Google Play.

I have noticed that when my phone rings, it only rings twice then it just vibrates. It has done this on 5 different ringtones I have tried. Anyone else having this issue or know of a solution?

Hi jreink01,

I have the same issue with LiquidSmooth. It only rings twice and stops . After that, it just vibrates. Did you manage to find a solution for this?

Thanks.
