Nice. I see that you are on H+ though rather than LTE.

haha. It seemed like you were wondering. You've got the normal moto g right? do you get HSPA or just 3g? I'm looking to get a normal once for my mom in a few weeks. I'm loving my 4g right now though. No regrets.
lol. Yes, I have the original one. It alternates between showing 3G and H+. Either way I get nice speeds. I have no regrets getting this one, even though I could have waited another couple weeks to get the LTE version.

Your mom would enjoy the regular one, definitely.

Yeah. The only downside is no current Dev support. But I can wait for that. Gravity box covers almost all my custom ROM needs.

Hey Al, I don't mean to insult your intelligence, you probably already know this, but if your G constantly switches between 3G and HSPA+ in could be like my N4. When it shows 3G, it's Not Really on a 3G signal per se, it's just "resting" during moments of no data usage. As soon as data is needed, it switches to HSPA+ and does it's thing.

I thought mine was actually switching bands all the time. Not the case at all.

Hey Bruce. Ya know, I never actually thought of that. :) no insult received. That was when I had CM11 on my phone. I've since flashed back to stock and just shows a constant 3G (Moto made it show that, only the custom ROMs or Gravity Box will give us the H/H+). I can go into settings and see what in actually getting.

I've never seen my Moto G say anything other than 3G or use the WiFi. I have the 16gb version. When should I see a H or H+. This phone is HSPA+ capable. Maybe nothing up here in the North East - Just South of Boston area??

Or could the HSPA+ just not be turned on at activation. Curious...

I've had 0 problems with this phone since I got it. 60 days or so.

Do I just let it be? It's faster than my old Motion which was 4G LTE.

Thanks!

If you are still on the stock ROM, you won't see it say H/H+. However, if you go into the about phone you'll see that it's getting HSPA+. You have to use an xposed module or a custom ROM if you want to see that.

That explains it. Yes it does show HSPA when you drill down into the properties of the phone.

Like I said this phone has been great. I never thought I'd find something priced reasonable that would be as good if not better than my old LG Motion.

The key is not to fill it full of useless Apps. I also don't take a ton of pictures with it either.

Hope everyone has a good holiday weekend!!

Are you using a 3rd party launcher. The app drawer button looks like Android 5.0 button.
Yes I am! I'm using Nova launcher prime 3.3 beta 4 :) This version helps you accomplish the lollipop look also here's another screenshot of my drawer with the widget (Zooper widget pro & XXXX by the infamous mowmo and sainz)
