The kernel just has write protection removed for K2_CL users. This was initially built for those who are S-On still. No plans for added features.

The source was seriously modified. This was due to the fact that the source expects to be compiled using the arm-eabi-4.6 toolchain. I used arm-linux-androideabi (4.7) and neceassary changes were required to make it compile using that toolchain successfully.

In addition, you will notice that the ramdisk inside the boot.img does not have any modules to insert on your device. That is because module support was properly disabled thus allowing the kernel to use the modules currently on your device without the need of replacing them.

The ultimate gain for usage of this kernel is to allow S-On K2_CL users running 4.2.2 the ability to mount their system partition as RW and thereby make any changes they deem worthy and insuring the changes stick upon reboot.
