Waze allows you to control its voice output independently.

I'm having the same problem as you. If I'm listening to podcasts in the car (using Pocket Casts) the Maps voice volume is at least twice that of the podcasts.

Has anyone figured out a fix for this?

I have the same issue. I email them about it constantly. I guess that is all we can do.
