First of all, I think the Note Edge looks awesome. But I can't picture myself using the Edge feature consistently and I'm a bit nervous that during one-hand operation, my palm might accidentally press the screen.

I tried the Edge a bit at the Samsung event and I did NOT find this to be a problem/issue, but 10 minutes of quick testing and real life use are very different.

I know that Samsung has filed several patents that help the screen act smart when trying to determine if a touch of the screen was deliberate or accidental, but I'm curious to see how this factor pans out in the long run.

    Anyone else worried about this?

    I hear ya.
Even though these things are tested pre-release,somehow the bugs still make their way in everyday use.

I'm interested in this phone, but, not to the point of getting it on opening day.

The concerns you've mentioned & aftermarket development (or lack thereof) will determine if I pick this up,or,pass.

    They're not bugs, they're... "undocumented features"! :p

    :D

I'm right-handed, so I would be holding the Edge on the left side of the device. The only risk of accidental edge press would be from my fingertips, maybe. But I think that a few days with the device will condition me to hold it just so: that way I'll learn quickly to keep my fingertips off the edge screen.

I really like the idea of a business cover that reveals only the edge screen. That and wireless charging will make it a truly phenomenal device. I about could live with it stock that way... well, long enough for a root exploit and a custom ROM to be developed for it :D

Hmm... if you won't be using it for calls, you could flip the phone upside down and one-hand it with your left. The only difference would be the physical buttons will be on the top. You get to use your thumb to swipe the curved screen and your fingers won't get in the way?

i too, was worried about the palm contact..but i think as long as the phone is well positioned in the hand the palm shouldn't be a problem.
