Verizon Update?

I just got a prompt to update my OS from VZW. I searched and could not find anything about it. Any ideas?

I got the same notification. It's finished downloading but I haven't agreed to install it yet. Anyone know what it may be about?

I clicked on the shortcut they give you and it went nowhere, so I did it on my desktop and saw it's just a bunch of bug fixes for the most part:

-autocorrect functions properly when '?is selected
-Cancelled meetings can now be removed from calendar
-Mobile Hotspot UI prompt to connect corrected
-Fixed assisted dialing for international numbers

I think the update just bricked my phone. I'm only rooted with no flashed Rom on my phone. Nothing uninstalled or frozen that would be critical to the phone. I downloaded, installed, phone went to restart, went to the LG screen and then a weird screen and then black. I'm pretty pissed at this point.

So even though I have installed custom recovery on my phone a couple times to make sure that it took, I am only able to get to the FDR screen that says rooted. So unless I start from scratch with my phone......I no longer have a working LG G2. Well, time to complain to Verizon and see what they do to fix me!

That's nice and everything but how I can I use it if my phone is bricked? Come to find out even though I thought I put a custom recovery on my phone I guess it didn't take. So I went to do the FDR last night and that wouldn't even work. So now what everyone??

Whats your build number after the update. Just replaced my phone via an insurance claim and now just says phine up to date, but i think this is the old build.

I got 25B beginning of this week which was for HD voice/VoLTE, as I went online and added the feature. The HD/VoLTE option didn't show up on my phone until after I rebooted. Last night I got 26A and don't know what it did.

Unfortunately you don't experience the HD quality or the video calls unless the other person has the software and feature added.

While I understand that, I just don't know what the last update did. 25a was for the VoLTE. 26a not sure it did anything

To have Volte active you have to go to your vzw account and activate this feature which btw will have conflicts with ringback tones if u have this on your phone,being there done that (see below):alberteinstein:

Removed:
Basic Voice Mail $0.00
This conflicts with Basic Visual Voice Mail.
Ringback Tones $0.99
This conflicts with HD Voice.

This still doesn't update the sound bug.

Podcasts recorded at low volume containing just people who talk [NO music] need to be turned up to "max" just to be at normal output volume. But Google is too stupid to realize people might not listen to music.

So every morning riding the subway to work.. every 3 seconds the ridiculous " Hi volume causes hearing loss" warning fires.. followed by the system kicking out my headphones and turning down the volume.

But the actual volume is never high.... because Google only checks the volume knob, not the actual signal amplitude.
