Root How to add words to dictionary?

hi all, sorry if this has been asked before but I cant find an answer. I cannot figure out how to add words to the dictionary. Lets say I want "hv" to mean "have", I dont see any way to save this somewhere. Or even if i just want "hv" in the dictionary by itself. There seems to be no way i can find to set this up. if I look in language and input I have the samsung keybd as grayed out and checked on and below that the swype keybd as checked on and available to change. If I enter the settings of swype, there is a dictionary there but no words in it. How do I add my own words to a dictionary?

Thanks in advance.

Tap the check mark to save a word... idk how to make the auto change in words with the stock keyboards, but I used to use "smart keyboard pro" and it had that capability

Thanks, seems like its saving the ones i tap check on. But for whatever reason i seem to lose them over time. Not sure when it happens but will try to be more vigilant to notice when it does.

Is there anywhere to see where these words gets saved? Or a place to create them outside of the app I'm typing in?

Thanks again.
