G3, 50 bucks at Amazon?

This combined with the deal LG is doing at the moment with the free battery and charger if you buy a G3 up until 9/22 is such a bargain. The charger and battery are worth 70 and you're paying 50 for the phone so they are basically giving you 20 dollars in the end. This is definitely the deal i'll be taking advantage of for my wife. I was an early adopter so i wasn't lucky enough to get one of these great deals. But i did get the G3 for $99 through verizon when they were doing the 50% off all smartphones deal.

I tried to buy one from Amazon today, but the only upgrade option they offer would strip my grandfathered unlimited data plan. They don't have an option to keep my current plan. They are also very sketchy on what the rest of my plan is, the just have a lump amount. I have 3 other phones and devices on it.
It looks like I will be paying the extra 150 bucks and getting it through ATT or an affiliate as not to loose my unlimited.

You ask how, we'll very easy. Same way I got my LG g3 a month ago for $100 out the door from best buy. They all get specials deals and can offer it for whatever they want. The phone is doing so well in sales that they are reducing the price even further to get more people convinced to get the phone. It's still an amazing phone. Love mine.

Thanks, I have issues about getting the best deal possible on anything I buy. It drives my wife nuts. So, I can get it at Amazon for 50 bucks, but I loose my unlimited data. So now I don't want to pay 200 bucks to get the phone in order to keep my unlimited, so now I will wait yet again to see if ATT drops the price. By then, a new phone will be out, and then the game starts all over again. I am still waiting for that guy to come out with the wireless charger chip so I don't need that whack job case to charge my phone.
I have issues!

Depending on carrier, you're going to get hit with upgrade and activation fees of from $65 to $80. I've never paid an "upgrade" fee before, so that eliminates some of the advantage.

On my Sprint business account, i've never paid activation fees, either.

I just bought this phone for $50 on Amazon with AT&T service. Since I'm not adding a new line, I think I only pay the upgrade fee and no activation fee. At least I hope that's the case.

I'm on Verizon and bought my phone through Amazon and kept my unlimited data. When I checked out through Amazon, it made me select a new plan, but just like the Best Buy method all I had to do was swap in my old SIM card for the initial boot up and I have been able to keep my unlimited data.

I just don't want to take that chance. Right now I have a need for the unlimited data even though they throttle me when I get too high.
