Discuss what features you like /what you like to see?

Bigger battery, larger screen are the basics that majority of people would like to see. But something that I would love to see Google fix is the black navigation bar. I hope they make it transparent if it's not used after a second our two. That and water resistant.

3000Mah battery min, larger screen in the 5.5 to 5.9 inch range, wouldn't mind a touch ID sensor, wouldn't mind a little more metal of a look rather than all plastic, but I understand with cost constraints that may not be possible.

Why do you say Android L will require the 808 or 810? The Moto X only has an 801 and is expected to get L soon after it's released. Plus I doubt that all the G3s and S5s and Ones will be blocked from upgrading.

I think we have a confusion. L will support 64 bit, but won't require it. So you won't need a 64 bit chipset to run L (which would be silly as it would preclude all existing Android devices).

Sorry if I confused anyone. Correct, L will run on 32 bit, but if the idea of the Nexus is to showcase the newest OS and the future of Android, then it would make sense to want to have a 64bit phone, which would require an 808 or 810.

Problem being is that the 808/810 aren't ready yet. They would need to delay the Nexus till Q1 2015 to get them. So they are kind of caught. Keep the release schedule where it's been at sometime in Oct/Nov every year. Or delay it so they can ship with the 64bit processor.
When these chips were announced they had those dates.

The Samsung Exynos 5433 is 64bit and in production and would be better then a MediaTek chip. Would be an interesting choice.

The last I read said it has 3200 mAh battery, yet the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro 6-inch has a 4,000 mAh battery... Now that is impressive. My Note 3 is 2
3200 which is excellent except for very extensive usage such as my daily workflow, otherwise I like everything about this phone.

I'm extremely eager to buy one

I don't know of anyone other than Samsung who uses Exynos SoCs in their phones, and I don't blame them. You'd be relying on a ruthless competitor for a key component, and Samsung have form in that department (e.g. finding they couldn't produce enough AMOLED panels for a customer whose phone was proving more popular than theirs).

Not saying its a great solution, but its the only current good solution if they wanted to launch with 64bit (mediatek is not really an option for a high end phone). Don't forget, Samsung makes many components for competitors, including many of the parts, such as the SoC for Apple.

Also, give us a 64gb option, please!!! I don't have access to WiFi or data everywhere..

I'm happy with the current rumored configuration. Oh sure I'd like an SD card slot and a slightly bigger battery, but it appears that those are out for now.

Just release them soon, I'm very ready.

One. It is a Nexus. Unlock bootloader and root? Easy peasy.

Two. It is made by Motorola. Awesome.

What else do we need? Remember the Droid 1?

I've been reading everyday for weeks on the rumored abilities of the Nexus 6, and my curiosity hasn't been satisfied yet. I love that the phablet has been modeled after the Moto X (my current phone is the 1st Gen), but no one has mentioned if this new device will have active listening capabilities and I think that it may be the tipping point for me on purchasing it. Does anyone have solid info one way or the other that this is a feature or not? Please list urls that support your comments. $650 hard earned dollars is a lot of money to spend on maybes and hearsay. Thanks.

It's part of Lollipop. A simple look at Android L features page tells you that.

Thanks, I wouldn't have thought to look there. The Moto X made a big deal out of having a separate processor that handled the always listening feature. In all the literature presented to date none made mention of this therefore I had assumed it wasn't available. Good to know.

I'm considering an upgrade from my S3 to the N6. Everything seemed good to go until I researched using a micro usb flashdrive with Nexus phones. Though they support otg for other things (keyboards,mice,etc..) fine,It seems you need a program such as Nexus Media Importer to read or pull files from usb otg storage devices. Might the Nexus 6 continue with this inconvenience?

This wouldn't be a problem except my research also seems to show "NMI" and similar programs don't allow WRITE from the phone back to the flashdrive. If this is so,does anybody know of a program to allow read and write both ways THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE ROOTING?

This might be a deal breaker for me. First they don't have sd cards built in. Then they make it difficult to use external storage with the phone on top of that. I know they are going to have a 64 g version but I want my freedom. Not only from skins and carrier bloat but to be able to manage my information/ my life as I see fit.

I see little reason to buy N6 if you aren't going to root. I would get a note 4 or droid turbo or the like. Maybe wait for HTC M9.
