New forum member here (but not new to forums), and I have a question I hope someone can answer. I have searched the internet and this site (somewhat)...my apologies in advance if this topic has been handled in the past (links would also be appreciated, as long as they truly match what I'm trying to accomplish...)
I want to get a new Galaxy S4, but before I do, I want to export my contacts from my Bionic into MS Outlook (2010) on my laptop. I would prefer to do this without having to download a 3rd-party software, as I try to keep this sort of extra stuff off my laptop (more processes running in the background, possibility of more spyware, although I do practice good computing habits, etc.) And I would love it if the data will end up organized correctly so that it will simply "drop" right into Outlook Contacts, sorted properly into the correct fields.
I don't mind if this takes a few steps, if it keeps me from downloading extra programs, but if that is not really the best way to go, I understand.
I'd also need to import those contacts into the new S4, once the above task is done. (I realize I can use Verizon's Backup Assistant, but I've gone this route in the past, and it doesn't transfer all the contacts for some reason. If there is indeed a way to use this service, and ensure ALL contacts will be transferred, I'm all ears.)
And lastly, I would also like to be able to keep my contacts sync'd between the S4 and Outlook, without too much involvement on my part, so this whole issue becomes a thing of the past.
Also, if it helps, I use Outlook through GMail on my laptop, and I have GMail on my phone as well.
