Launchers having an adverse affect on my s3

I've tried nova launcher and apex launcher both.
With nova launcher my dialer pad locks up a lot. By lock up I mean I can't end call, can't use the dial number pad, can't toggle speaker phone nothing it just locks. The fix if it locks up is put the phone to sleep and take it back out of sleep ie: push the post button and turn it back on.
With apex I have issues getting stuff particularly noticed it in hangouts. I got a message on my s4 but nothing on my s3.

So I guess I have to ask, has anyone else had these issues or other issues using these two launchers?

I'm using Nova Prime on a Galaxy S3. I have not experienced any such issues that you mentioned. If you are having issues with multiple launchers, it sounds like an issue with the phone to me.

If you haven't done so already, I suggest you uninstall both launchers just to verify that the issues are not there when no launchers are on your phone. Then install one of the launchers to verify that the installation of the launcher is causing the issue. If the issues reappear after the launcher is installed, I suggest you report the issue to the launcher's developer.

Yeah I uninstalled the launchers and ran touchwiz and it ran/runs fine, no issues at all.

I did find out what was with apex though. Hangouts uses internet/3g and I have a battery save app that enables and disables 3g when the phone goes to sleep and comes back on. So that was apex issue.
That should not affect the dialer at all though that nova launcher is having issues with, so I'm not sure what the deal with nova launcher is.
