i went back to rooted stock, and when i boot up and pull down the status bar it say's sprint instead of boost mobile. how do i change it to boost mobile

You can change it to any text you want by downloading Xposed. Go to xda. Download Xposed framework then download the module Wanam Xposed after you download the framework. You can make all kinds of tweaks to your stock rooted rom without directly modifying the rom itself. Chect it out. I use it and can't imagine a stock rom without it.

Flash the Boost APN fix by MopedRyder. That will change it from Sprint to Boost.

No problem. Glad you got it changed.
I'm getting ready to flash the APN fix to change mine. I flashed the Dirty Unicorns ROM and my carrier is reading Sprint. That APN fix is a for sure way to get it changed to Boost. It has always worked for me.
