What is iPhone gonna unveil today?

What is iPhone gonna unveil today that makes it better than the S5?
I bet Samsung is watching closely!

If the iPhone doesn't have a bigger screen option, I don't think they will pull away from Samsung.
If the iPhone does have a bigger screen, Samsung could be in trouble as I for one may make the jump as that was the only thing holding them back. Besides, I'm pissed Samsung doesn't solve the USB cover coming loose all the time problem.

The watches were a big selling point for Samsung?

I'd say these things are still quite a niche market at the moment.
Bigger Screens is not a niche market, very popular! ;)
Watches are catching on... as when I was at Best Buy the other day, I saw no less than 20 different smart watches there.

I was referring to the watches. And while I've seen them for sale, the number of people I've seen wearing one, even in gear-head groups, is tiny. So right now I doubt the watches are a big selling point for any manufacturer. Certainly if Samsung were relying on them this last year they'd be in trouble ;)

Of course the Apple hype machine may change that by raising the profile - there was an awful lot of coverage in the mainstream press last night. But time will tell.

At first, I didn't see you were talking about just the watches. :D
I like watches, but most are way too high priced.
Plus most look cheaply made too.
Now that iPhone has jumped on the smartwatch bandwagon, it may change.
Remains to be seen...

What is iPhone gonna unveil today?

Android features/devices from 2012 :)
Oh - and the iPod-Nano-on-a-wrist - part 2 - aka watered down version of AndroidWear

Edit: I must admit that these are steps that Apple needed to try and regain the market share they were/are losing. Good steps for Apple. Samsung will need to step up their game (thankfully, they didn't move to Tizen entirely, and still actively working with the Android OS - so the software innovation part should be covered)

Apple had great products years ago, but then didn't try to be innovative. Yes they now have bigger screens, and NFC, but Samsung did that in 2012.

They added image stabilization (that has been around on phones for years), but the camera is still the same.

I like the look of the watch, but 3 different types and two different sizes? I like that you can replace the watch band, but that has come at the cost of the camera.

i am sure all the fanboi's will go racing in to buy it though. I have to give credit to the Apple marketing team. They have created a product they don't need to advertise.

I have had a few different iphones, but my last two phones were Samsung (s3, s5). Each time I go to buy a phone i look and research most of them and buy the one that suits me. TBH if Apple actually made a phone that lasted as long as a S5, then that would worry Samsung. All day at work I hear people asking if they can borrow someones iphone charger. sad they can't even get through the day with medium use.

Looks like iPhone is a copycat! They veered away from their traditional iPhone look with the iPhone 6+ and copied the Galaxy S5 look. The iPhone 6 looks like the S3 or S4.
Agreed. I was passing a display yesterday with an i6, so I stopped to see what the hype was about. Big time Samsung copycat on the design and feel! So will Samsung sue Apple for that this time around? :)

... Yes they now have bigger screens, and NFC...

While they finally bit the bullet and put in NFC, it's use is limited to Apple Pay since that's the only way it can be used to generate that wonderful ka-ching sound for them! There's no money in bumping phones to share files. If they had a choice they would have created their own version that they could license out (like AirPlay instead of Bluetooth) but I'm guessing financial institutions have already locked into NFC so they were forced to use it.

Well... I thought I'd try out the i6 (plus too damn big) for the 15 days. So far... OK, I must say. I used the zoom feature to increase icon and text size. Handset feels good in the hand... if more like the S4, then I'm probably liking that. S5 took a little adjusting when I moved from S4 to S5. I'm of course missing widgets and some customizations. There are a few apps on Apple that I miss when on Android. The integration between apps and OS is nice. Even though I can use Swift keyboard, it's still not quite as nice as Android version. But hugely better than stock iOS keyboard. So... to summarize... I'm still undecided halfway thru trial period.
