Yes u are correct... Value does not stick... With root explorer Go to system/etc. Look for setting file.... Open it scroll down Change value/s of the volumes there.... safe backup... Restart tell me what u think

So I installed Angalade's v6 with the v8 build.prop and it runs smoothly but still has the low mic and low in-call volume. I tried changing the settings through Root Explorer (as suggested) but the file names are not the same as when using SQLite. Anyway, after increasing what I think was the right value for sound, I saved & exited the file but the changes would not "stick" in this manner either.

I then tried changing values in the snd_soc files as was previously posted but those changes didn't provide any results either.

It is frustrating because the ROM appears to run very nicely aside from being able to be used as an actual phone due to the low volumes. I will keep this installed through the weekend but if no solution can be found for the call volume I will need to revert to the KK port.

Thanks,

P.S. I would have tried the edits posted above but could not find the audio_effect config.

I found and compared the audio_effects config from the KK Port and CM11 (https://www.diffchecker.com/diff). The 2 files are identical so I doubt adding any code to it will provide any positive outcome as far as in-call volume or echo.
The snd_soc_msm_2x files for KK port & CM11 are identical also.
FWIW - Call volume/echo on the KK port works perfectly.

Hroark's KKport Beta 5 to Angablade's CM11 v6

I have very low mic volume (caller can barely hear me) and barely tolerable ear-piece volume listening to caller.

Thats the different.... ( not how it are comparable) butbi hav found the way to hav all my volumes to be in yhe correct values... Almost everything is running to Excellency... Just the friking echo...just a bit only...
I wantbto get both roms running stable mining no issues. At all

On the motion. We had the exact same problem echo on the others end. Low in call volume.
To fix this issue all we did was flash a sound mod, I think it was xloud. Just a hint as to what might work to help fix the problem.

Thnk you for sharing that.... Im trying to wrk on a script for it...I find out that playing w/statefright values could wrk of course.. For controling some of them its an issues cus they are implemented in kernel....
I got on hold an app that would substitute DSP (xloud)
Which is part of the issues...

@@@ mn1968... Phone is in working mod... It soonest i get it back i wll upload file w/values:)

I tried the Xloud app from the Play store...BIG MISTAKE. It caused the system UI to repeatedly crash...even after removing it and clearing the cache & dalvik. I also downloaded 2 flashable mods of Xloud but didn't get around to testing them out. I need my phone fully functional for the work week & went back to the KK port. Hopefully those that know what they are doing will be able to solve the in-call volume issues.

From the play store? Lol why would you do that? Not to mention that you need an xloud mod that is compatible with kk 4.4.4. It can't just be some random xloud mod

After searching out possible fixes for the in-call echo and low call volume, I have learned that just about all of the CM11 ROMs have this issue...even the flagship devices. This link for the LG Optimus G Pro supposedly has a fix for the low volume. The downloaded file is an edited audio.primary.msm8960.so file. Perhaps someone that understands this can figure out a similar fix for our phones.
