Help Ridiculous battery drain. Moto Voice?

Honeymoon is over with this thing. It's day two and it started losing battery crazy fast. I checked and it said the majority of the battery was going to Moto Voice. Has anybody else had this? The phone was also getting warm and taking a long time to charge. I'm hoping it's just a setting or some other app interacting negatively with moto voice because that actually seemed like a good feature that I would use.
I'm assuming that moto voice isn't SUPPOSED to use this much battery because it would render the phone just about useless.

After 11 minutes of being unplugged from a full charge, the battery was at 92 percent with 70 percent having gone to moto voice and 18 percent having gone to the screen?

Has this happened to anybody else?

What did you mean by "soft reset"? (There are multiple definitions.)

... Thom

I just held down the power button. I'm not sure if that's any different than turning it off and then on again?

Initially turning it off and on didn't do anything, it was still staying warm and draining battery. But when I did the "soft reset " it solved the problem. But, I also turned moto voice off and back on, so it could have just been that, I suppose.

I'm watching it for sure. Hasn't happened again so far. The battery want getting really hot, not like my galaxy nexus used to do. Just a bit warm, so you could tell it was working on something... which also isn't good.

I'm thinking it was software since the vast majority of the battery was going to Moto Voice? But nonetheless, definitely asking for an exchange if it happens again.

I had a few bad days with my original X as well. Maybe 3 to 4 times where the battery just drained. After the first time I caught it early and rebooted my phone and that fixed it. This was early on and it was within a few weeks of it happening. After that it never happened again for no see-able reason. I want to say it was the "OS" that was eating my battery though.
