Hi there,

I'm looking for something specific and I cant beleive there is no app that does that.

With my job I often write the same words or sentences by email and having keyboard shortcuts will really be simplify my word.

The problem is that , Ive only found things like google keyboard with personnal dictionnary , tap on the + sign , add shortcut etc..

BUT I can only type a certain amount of caracters which is short.. I would want an app or a keyboard that allow me to add keyboard shortcut without any word limits in it like in ios.

My coworker has an iPhone 5s and if he write for example thxs , It will write a big sentence of like 30 words. I tried to make a shortcut that long with google keyboard and it told me, Maximum lenght , cannot add more words...

Is there any app that exist and would save me time!!

Thanks for you help

Hmm, but if you are typing with SwiftKey then whatever shortcut you type also goes to Swiftkey. So the only way that could work would be if SwiftKey themselves added shortcuts and then provided an interface where another app could handle the shortcut and provide the response. Another app couldn't come along and just take over when certain key combinations are pressed, because those "keys" are part of SwiftKey's interface rather than a system function.

In fact I think it's more likely that SwiftKey would handle shortcuts themselves than provide an interface for other apps to handle them, but that feature has been requested many times over the last few years without a result so far.

Ironically I've read just now that SwiftKey on iOS cannot provide the iOS shortcuts because Apple don't allow 3rd party keyboards to access that feature. Maybe that will prompt them to implement their version if it's seen as a drawback by iOS users?
