[SPOILERS] Walking Dead Discussion

I was kind of surprised they showed Beth in the trailer. A bit of a spoiler since she was still missing at the end of last season.
What? I missed that, was in process of canceling Netflix & having Cable tv set up. Ty for this! I watched all of this show through rentals, up to the last couple on last season so ty I wondered and wondered why Beth left Darrell the way she did!? Hopefully I can find that on demand.

Sorry for nitpicking but what's up with Terminus? They have (had) the means to charge 2-way radio's as well as clean, efficient equipment to nicely butcher animals and they waste it on sick humans? While they're growing veggies why not go find some cows, pigs and chickens for meat and just kill the humans that they fear so much?

That is a good point. Rick had raised pigs at the prison, no reason these people couldn't have done the same. There were some cannibals in the books, but they were more like feral out on the road starving people. The Termites had a nice clean safe place to stay. I know they were supposed to be screwed up because of the people that took them over before, but like you said, they could have just killed people, they didn't have to eat them. I find it kind of unrealistic that they could be so casual and nonchalant about killing, gutting and eating other humans, especially if it's not a matter of survival.

You mean you missed some of last season or the trailer? The trailer is posted a few posts above. ^

I guess it's because pigs don't read signs. You'd have to actively seek them out and catch them....not an easy feat in a zombie apocalypse.

If you didn't catch it, the people from Terminus were not always cannibals. Terminus was at one time an actual "Sanctuary" but a group of "bad guys" came in and destroyed their spirit and did horrible things that made them into who we saw. That was the whole "Then" and "Now" sequence was about. Also talking dead offered some extra insight into the people of terminus. Travelers who would come in were always greeted nicely, if they were weak, they'd be immediately put into a container (train car, cargo container, etc..) but if they were strong, they would feed them let them relax, and then tell them what they were eating, if they accepted it they could become one of them, if not, off to the storage.

As we saw in the last episode the survivors from terminus are the Hunters from the comics, with a back story. Also in the comics the reason they switched to cannibalism was because they lacked the ability to do things right with growing crops and farming in general.

Daryl thought he had heard something that night, the next day he looked around and found no signs of anyone other than their group. So yes it was dismissed. As Daryl is a skilled tracker and his skill has been proven to be successful in previous episodes.

After these two episodes how they portray the "hunters" is very mixed and not well maintained with what we have seen so far. They were shown to have a very tightly ran process, yet when there was no response from one of their people no one was sent to check on him. So we see them go from proficient to sloppy.. Now we see them stalking Rick's group with no trace.. again we see them suddenly switch from sloppy to proficient. I wish the writers would see that they did this, because it does draw some of my interest away trying to keep up with how I am supposed to perceive them.

Other than that this season is great, and looks like it will be a very good one.

That's just rude to eat a guys leg right in front of him and not even offer him a bite lol.
Looks like they are transferring Dale's story from the books onto Bob. I wonder if Bob got bit in the water and didn't tell anybody. Maybe that's why he was crying outside.
Bob is (perhaps 'was' is more accurate at this point) an alcoholic and I believe he was outside crying because he was just fed up with white-knuckling it. That's how I read it, anyway.

I like how you don't have that mentality that Carol is invincible. I could see them killing her off to remind us that no one is safe. Personally I don't see why everyone is hyped up over her, or any other one character for that matter. Not sure if they will do that yet, but it should be an episode with answers to a few questions

Count me in as one who thinks Carol is downright awesome. But I've accepted that she can and will be killed at some point. Eventually Rick will be the last living character from season one.

I just watched S1E6 last night to get a fresh view of how much had changed. Most of the characters in that episode are dead now, but the show is still great.

I think next episode will be about Daryl and Carol rescuing Beth. Carol will die in the process. The episode will be concurrent with this one and end at the same point.

This is what I was thinking. I hope they don't kill Carol, though.

It pisses me off that they begged Abraham to stay and let him split up the group. They didn't even need his help, he only killed one person while half the group just stood back and watched. I can't believe everybody just goes along with escorting doofus on a wild goose chase to Washington D.C..

in most shows.. when the main characters change to different actors.. I normally loose interest in that show. (with exception to Dr Who).

so for me.. if they kill off any 2 of these: Rick, Carl, Daryl, Glen, Carol.
I would loose interest.

who do you think would make it to the end of the series?

If you read some of the interviews with them (the writers and kirkman) fantasizing about a season 12 and after they talk about how they imagine there could be completely different characters.

I don't think that any one character should be safe, because it ruins the nature of the show. How is it that someone they run into has survived the same amount of time has no chance in living due to the simple fact that we are watching a show about the one person? I believe they will need to find a way to balance this "issue"

I do believe they do plan on eventually killing of Rick or Carl, for the simple fact they didn't kill off Judith in the Prison like in the comics.

My thoughts and opinion though
