Help Where is the setting for this sound?

I have a pattern lock on my G2, and sometimes when I input it I do it too fast & swipe wrong the first time. Just recently I've been hearing a sound like the camera shutter when I do it wrong, which is super weird! & it only just started in the last week or two - without me changing anything that should be making this happen.

Where is there a setting for a sound when you put the lock pattern in wrong? I've looked a bit but I'm not finding it.

I looked in a couple places:

1) Sound > volumes > touch feedback & system. On the Volumes overlay screen that comes up, I have "Touch feedback & system" all the way to the left (no sound).

2) Sound > scroll down to Touch feedback & system. I have everything unchecked on this screen, including "Screen lock sound" - so there shouldn't be a sound happening either when I lock or unlock.

Is this something that just started recently for you, too?

Any chance that it's actually taking a picture? You know, you got the code wrong, so hypothetically speaking, you might not be the owner of the phone, and if the owner gets it back, they might like to know someone was trying to unlock their phone. Personally, I'd look and see if you have any new pictures hiding somewhere first, before checking for just the sound file.

Nope, I actually checked that the first couple times it made the sound, but nope, no new pictures are being taken. I also have the shutter sound turned off in the camera app. And I don't have an app on my phone that would do that ;)

Yes. Mine's not doing it right now when I enter the wrong pattern. But I've heard it near the time I've turned my screen on. Just can't pin down exactly when and I've only heard it a few times.

It's so strange, & I can get it to do this any time just by putting the pattern in wrong. Although for some reason if I only connect any few dots, it doesn't make the noise, so it's apparently dependent on how many dots I connect for it to make the sound.

I even tried checking & unchecking the "Screen lock sound" box I referenced in #2 above, but of course it didn't make any difference.

OK, now that I'm home tonight, I turned to Google & looks like I found it - I installed AirDroid just recently & it seems to be related to the "Find Phone" feature within the settings. I just turned that option off & now there's no shutter sound with an incorrect lock code. :D

Here's a link to the discussion: Wrong unlock code causes camera shutter sound to play (D851). : LGG3

I'm not even sure I'll keep this app installed on my phone, so I'm glad to have gotten to the bottom of this!
