Help LG Volt / ZTE Warp Sync

I've been debating between the Lg Volt and Zte Warp Sync from boost Mobile since I decided to switch from my S3. They're both the same price, but I was wondering what the better phone would be? I like watching videos a lot, and battery life is pretty big on my end. Also, if there are any common problems with the phone I'd like to know as well. Thanks in advance

There's no reason to had bumped this thread. Get the volt. Never get a zte.

I think its on the same idea to avoid kyocera,HTC that brand that sounds like hawaii.... although most brands have a flagship handset do not think the bargain...... bin has shared features .... for the most part I find the pay up front handsets shaky at best and also avoid samsung and moto... only company that has never burned me was LG

So then the LG volt of course. I do right now have the S3, which has given me hardware and software problems.

My wife has the Volt and the battery life is amazing! She'll have 70% left at the end of the day most of the time (unless she watches a ton of video). Never doesn't make it through even when watching lots of video. Other than that it seems to work well and smoothly with few problems.

I don't have a problem with Samsung or htc or moto, in fact moto is owned by Google so if you want the best support you should always go moto and it's decently priced, but trust me, with all the other brands, zte, huawei, etc, for the same amount of money you spend on their cheap phones you can get an lg/Samsung/moto that's at least 5x better hardware wise. I had a zte once. ONCE. Probably never again.

I only mentioned moto because the triumph was not even a moto phone they just branded it moto because Im sure nobody would have bought such a buggy turd handset if it said huawei triumph ... if the intercept wasn't the first android phone on VM I would have prolly just kept using a payphone down on the corner.... wow that phone was nothing but problems and after the froyo update they totally forgot about that pos.... I used my opti slider for almost 3 years and only went to the volt because I could no longer use apps or update anything from the phone being too full.... but that phone was pretty much problem free the whole time I used it... LG has never done me wrong.... I told my brother to get the lg elite and he has had no problems for over 2 years .... just shit data speeds like all VM services

The zte would be better for 2 GB ram. It's a major problem for me on the volt. Stuff force closing all the time. Keyboard not opening, messenger crashing, chrome crashing. This phone sucks

Battery life is great on the Volt but aside from that its basically unusable crap of a phone. I only paid $79 for mine and I still feel like it was a really bad decision.

And you seem to be the only one with that opinion.

Yeah, the Volt could really use some more RAM, but it's hardly an 'unusable crap of a phone', especially for $80.

If you wanted a flagship level phone, you should've gotten one and not expected that kind of performance from an $80 phone.

I paid $180 for mine the day it came out and don't regret it, although it would've been nice to get it for $80. It's far better than the S2 that it replaced.

Also, I'm not having all the issues you are talking about. I don't know if you did something to it, or got a defect, but those problems are non-existent for me.

i'd have to agree that this phone sucks once you get past the pretty software. It's like the software side and hardware side were completely detached when making this phone. While i love the software, i hate the hardware, it's far too week to handle it.

Mine is 100% stock and i haven't "done something to it". look over this forum and you'll see multiple threads about this phone's forcing closing and lack of ram issues.

My experience with this phone has only been positive. I haven't had any issues with apps force closing and, in response to the other thread about multitasking, I've been able to run both Spotify and Google Maps in the background while I'm in other apps without any problems. Performance is generally speedy for me.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that the ram issues stem from users pushing this phone too far. This is a budget phone after all, you shouldn't expect things like Facebook, Pandora, and Clash of Clans to all be running at the same time. Users like me who are coming from a lower end or older phone have learned how to side step performance issues and can expect to have this phone fly for them. Those who are coming from higher end phones, for whatever reason, are more likely to feel the Volt's limitations.

I'm aware that SOME people are having these issues, but they seem to be the minority. Many people have had no issues with the phone. I'm sorry your experience has been bad. Have you bothered talking to LG or your carrier about it and getting it fixed?

Also, you misspelled 'weak'.

i've read this a few times now and i'm wondering what's meant by it. i hardly use this phone to the point where sometimes i'm able to go 3 days without plugging it in. all i want to be able to do at most is be able to have music playing on the phone, while running maps navigation, during a 90 or so mile road trip, and nothing else, but for whatever reason it's not even capable of that. too many background processes, lack of ram, or something else, i don't know. i'd say i'm the farest from 'pushing too far' considering i don't even play any games on it.

thanks for commenting on my english, i know it sucks, you should see what it's like when i don't make the extra effort to try and making it something that i think might be more readable.

To be fair, I run Greenify as a habit from my Motorola Triumph days. As mentioned, I have had navigation and music running in the background, but I've never tried both at the same time.

I don't run Greenify. Tried it out, and just found it unnecessary in my case. I can run Waze in the background with just about any app, music player, ebook reader, even low end games just fine. Been doing it all day today actually since 9am (it's currently 4pm). Still have 20% battery, no crashes. Couple low memory warnings from a game, but that's it.

Perhaps you have some unchecked processes eating up your memory, or you are using high usage apps.

I'm looking to upgrade from a 3 year old phone and was wondering if this could fit the bill. I currently am using an HTC EVO 3D, flashed to Boost Mobile. It also only has 1GB of RAM but uses only a dual core processor.

For those that are really on the fence, including OP, Virgin has a 14 day return policy if you order from their online store (I'm assuming Boost has the same thing, if not something similar). If you're leaning toward buying this phone, but want a "just in case" safety net, as long you return everything within 14 days, you'll get a full refund.

I'm skeptical about online orders, and there is a boost kiosk in the mall down the street from me. Do you know if they do returns, or what the policy is on that?

Probably store policy of whatever store you buy it at. I'd say to go down to the kiosk and ask the people working there.

Well I've gone ahead and got the Lg volt to replace my S3, still in box, waiting until I have time to start playing with it.
