Help Sound profiles resetting (ringer, alarm, etc.)

Try downloading a different alarm app from the Play to see if it does it with that also

Also when she sets the alarm, try changing the notification sound from within the settings of the alarm app and when she changes the sound tell her to adjust the sound from there when listening to the sound, and see if that works.

Hi guys,

Need some help with my evo 3d.I have the 4.0.3 sprint version, stock version(no root).

When i connect the phone to a computer and i just mount the disk drive the phone always resets the sound options to default because my ringtone and the notification tone are on sd card.So then when i unplug i always need to search for them and replace back to my choice.
It's a bit annoying so i tried to fix this copying the songs to my phone memory....but i found out i can't,due to protection(didn't root my phone yet).

What should i do,except rooting(saw on xda-developers that it's pretty ugly-then i saw the tutorial here,seems easier,but i still wouldn't root my phone)?

Thanks:).

I used to have this problem on my OG evo with my homescreen icons. The apps on my sd card would not display icons after restarting the phone. The only temp fix I had was after the phone was loaded, I would go into manage applications and force stop htc sense. It would reload and then everything would be there. This may not be the most elegant solution but it worked.... I assume it would work about the same for you as well. Only a temp fix but it should hold until your phone restarts..

I use an HTC EVO V 4G, and I'm having this problem even after rooting and using a custom ROM.

I just moved ZEDGE back to phone storage and rebooted, testing it now.

Well that didn't work. :-/

I checked my phone system folder, and I found the ringtones that I specified before rebooting, they're stored on the phone, yet I'm still having the resetting problem.

Argh!

Update: Still no help? Where are all the gurus?
