Root [Boost Mobile] Tri-Band S3 (SPH-L710T)

LINK REMOVED
Theres the stock Rom

First Post On The Forums :)

For some reason there is almost no information on the web about this particular model phone.
Anyways, I rooted my device following a tutorial for the SPH-L710 model and it worked. I was able to successfully flash CWM-v6.0.4.5 and install Super-Su. I need a way to get back to stock device. I have read this thread and you seem to be the person I should be asking. Any help would be much appreciated.

Could something be messed up with my model by using a different models root method? (Any known issues.)

Is it possible to flash the stock recovery and ROM?

How would I go about acquiring those files if the above answer is Yes? ( I have looked everywhere. )
For the link you provided, do I have to submit a request to acquire the ROM?

Phone Specs:
Model: SPH-L710T
Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband Version: L710TVPU0ANE5

Thanks,

Breaking warranty comes with the game of rooting and flashing. Cant help you there.

Just use philz recovery. Install via odin.

Once you exit, it asks to root the phone. Just tap yes.

Due to the major pain in the butt that this phone is, I personally suggest you DO NOT FLASH ANY ROMS until further development on this model.

Its to sketchy at this point.

This thread has made that clear.

So, again, only root via Philz.

As far as the links above for the stock zip, idk how to get them to download. They would be nice to have.

If you want a working tether app, wifi router 6.0 in google play does work on this triband model. Its a couple bucks. Most people just want root to tether and clean out bloatware anyways.

You would need the .tar (what we dont have) file flashed via odin. I think tgat will restore stock recovery. Not sure if that will reset knox tho. Havent tried.

I know that once i root, no more warrenty... "if you broke it, you better find a way to fix it" is my personal motto. I have bricked once, and recovered a ton of phones.... never sent one in....

Read all the info on a phone before you tinker with it... Thats the best advice you can get from here...because sometimes, theres no goin back....

We will try to help you if you need it, but I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH that this varient is way under developed to go flash happy. You will quickly and easily dork things up.

Btw, flash philz recovery. Back up your EFS via phils, and do a nandroid backup IMMEDIATELY... trust me, thats worth the phones weight in gold right now...

Good info bro. I still can't believe Sammy doesn't have a stock tar posted for this model yet. It's needed badly.

Hopefully the model gets a stock tar soon. It sux to see so many members having trouble with the T model. I know these phones aren't cheap.

Yes, a nandroid would be great about now. Im not that skilled to minipulate stuff but for a little bit. Ive been stuck before on other phones and always found a solution tho...

I've rooted other phones too and always been able to fix it and sad thing is.... the IPHONE is easy as hell to root! Way easier than android models. Lol. I think so anyways.

I just wish I know how we could pin point what is exactly cause the problem with my s3! It's driving me nut but I turned my old phone back on so I won't waste anymore of my service that I paid for. I can always wait to get the s3 fixed. Even tho my venice has a busted screen! haha

ok, so found this....

METHOD 2 TO RESTORE EFS FOLDER ON SAMSUNG GALAXY AND FIX UNKNOWN BASEBAND VERSION

>Enter Debugging mode on your Samsung galaxy

>Connect your Device to the PC

>Download the EFS Restorer Express

>Open The folder and double click the EFS-BACKUP.BAT file

>On the screen provide, select a method to restore the EFS via ODIN

>Finish

These are all the ways to restore your EFS Folder and fix unknown baseband version

Also, theres an app called Samsung tool. It restores backed up efs files. I think someone sent you one didnt they? If so, put it on your sd card and run that samsung tool app. see if that does it.

Thanks to Ricky Divjakovski at XDA for this tool..

Also found on xda if Kies picks this model up....

I wondered the same thing, actually. I searched it up and couldn't get a yes or no, so I may actually try it. From what I understand, however, Kies only deals with the ROM and kernel, nothing else. I will get back to you on that.

Edit:

Well, that sucked more than it just updating the ROM and Kernel. Kies says incompatible device for the L710T. I thought it was just the fact that I was running BeanStalk, so I booted to download, and still the same issue.

Hello! I hate to bother you but do you have the stock recovery? Thanks.
