I have been having issues with the battery life lately (couple of months). I used to get 18+ hours (usually could go 24-25 hours on a single charge). Now I am having to charge it up every afternoon or it goes dead.

Usage and apps havent really changed, not sure whats the problem. Any ideas?

You may hate but the device will love it and act right when you do the reset . I can't see all the apps but the lookout wouldn't be needed if you use Google the same find my phone feature and wipe also lock. But I see the lightning bolt icon what are the other apps . I hope you Dont have a task or task killer or apps in that android tool section .

Big no no .

it was recommended here when I got the phone, need something to shut the ringer/notifications down at night (similiar to motorola smart actions).

With that said, Ive used that app the entire time Ive had the phone so its not something new. I figured if it was a problem the battery life would have been affected back in March, not 7 months later. :(

O OK didn't know that so this was new never refurbished 8 months you owned . Did u get a warranty . I think the battery . Maybe gone . But it can be apps also such as the weather bug , lookout or the tasker . But try removing apps and test 2days with and without .

I first said the BATTERY. but til you can make a order for one test the apps out . Do them one by one . You saying it isn't the apps but ask yourself what if it was.

You can use the built in android Blocking Mode to turn off notifications at night or whenever you set the time to.

I remember installing Smart Profiles set to monitor my location and switch the song back o when I left that location. The day it was put into practice the battery was nearly dead in 4 hours. Uninstalled it on the spot.

Always check the battery first. They can be very dangerous. They can explode and burst into flame and they basically can't be put out. So take the battery or and examine it. If it looks puffy or bloated replace it immediately.

Next you can try removing apps. Ask yourself how essential every app on your phone is and start uninstalling them. You can always reinstall an app after you have determined it is not causing the problem. Any app that you can not uninstall or that you can't do without, go through the settings and see if you can turn off things like push notifications or get location or less frequent updates etc.

Also don't forget other app stores like Amazon. A few months ago I had a problem with an app update that came from the stupid Samsung store that I didn't even use.

Next step is either a reset or a new battery. Your choice which you try first. One will cost you money, the other time.

Last step is replacing the phone.
