Lock Screen Malfunction

So maybe someone else has come across this, but all of a sudden my lock screen doesn't just shut off after a few seconds like it used to. I had Cover Lock Screen installed at one point and I'm wondering if I gave it permissions that it didn't get rid of when I uninstalled it.

It isn't necessarily broken or anything, I just can't seem to fix it so it bugs me, plus battery life (I QA test a lot of mobile apps for a living so trust me when I say it isn't something simple). Device isn't rooted. Some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

It has permissions to turn the screen on and off, so I re-installed it just to uninstall it again. No luck. Freaking Twitter bought the company so I doubt that there will be any future updates, but I've notified them about the issue regardless.

Have you tried going into settings/mydevice/display/screen timeout and setting the value you want?
if so, try setting it to max then exiting and re-entering and changing to the value you want. i use the () setting that the Screebl app inserts and my screen goes off in 3 seconds!
Good Luck!

I ended up just setting the screen timeout to 2 minutes. Long enough to leave on when I needed, short enough that it shuts off if I get a text or something and causes the screen to turn on. Pretty bogus fix but I think life will go on. I might have to check out Screebl though, so thanks!
