I have a Galaxy Ace Plus and I'm with Telstra (Australia). I have been having this problem, for sometime now and I've replaced the Sim Card, tried the Sim Card in another phone (Nokia) and Telstra staff reset my phone. It's still having the problem. It's not all the time, it appears to be random...
My carrier Telstra, through their Philippines Tech Support Service, are telling me it's my phone, apparently it's not providing a handshake to let their system know my phone has received the message, so it keeps sending it.
It wasn't doing it at all last week but today I have received 7 sms from one contact and 5 and counting far from another. Both are using different carriers to me.
Can anyone help me fix this issue????.
