What I like least about my Note 4 is . . .

What I like least about my Note 4 is the placement of the volume buttons. Why on earth would they put them directly opposite of the power button? It's nearly impossible to turn up the volume without turning off your screen, or to lock the phone without turning the volume up or down. Does anyone else have this issue?

What do you like least about your Note 4?

I'd prefer the power button on top like my old htc desire! Also the back button is too close to the screen.

i agree... its pretty annoying... i rather the power button to be on top

i also dont like how to take a screen shot i also mostly just turn off my phone or exit to the main screen before i take the screen shot... palm swiping is also not working too well

Screen shot done easy, take out the S Pen, Air Command, select Screen Write. I find that's a great way to do my screenshots.

Yeah, the palm swipe thing is kinda goofy. When I try it, most of the time the drop down shade comes down and I get a screen shot of it.

Which really shouldn't be that hard to waterproof.

Sony phones don't even have a covered headphone jack and they boast the highest smartphone Waterproofing rating on the market right now, at least for a flagship.

S Pen slot should be a trivial issue for Samsung.

I think the design of the phone has more to do with it. The metal rim, expansion gap, etc. are bigger hurdles for them to deal with than the S Pen slot in the phone...

The unnecessary bloat!!! I have over 70 useless apps disabled and there are several more that would be disabled if the phone would allow it.

The pen itself doesn't have any electronics in it does it? so making the hole it fits in sealed isn't that big of an issue either, just one part in the process. As someone who has to use his phone, and tablet, out side in all kinds of weather (including rain and snow) it would just be nice to have a little extra protection.

My tablet is in a lifeproof case, which helps, but its hard to find something like that for the phone. i'm not saying it's a deal breaker, or i'd have gone to the Sony Z3.

Yea, when I went into the Verizon store expecting to get it. It took about 30 seconds before passing on it after I seen how loaded it was. I was flabbergasted. It has like 3.5 ecosystems preloaded on it, and like 2-3 apps that perform the same functions in about 7-10 app categories... I can only imagine how confusing this can be for a new user who gets their devices.

For me it's the reversal of the back and recent apps button compared to all of the other phones I have had. I'm getting used to it though. Love my phone! The bloat doesn't really bother me (I know, that's CRAZY!). I did immediately switch to google now launcher though. I can't live with out my google now on the left hand screen. I use it every day for things like traffic, weather and online orders.

I agree that it's GOT to be doable. The problem I see specifically with the S-Pen hole is that particular part of the device would need to be VERY water resistant (more like water proof) due to pressure build up when putting the pen back in. Granted they could put grooves in either the pen or in the sides of the hole itself to allow water to run out, much the same way that grooves in car tires work - which would be great for a few drops of water. But if they make it water resistant you just KNOW that some schmuck is going to test it by holding it under water to see if it will still write, and then shove the pen back in while it's still under water, briefly building up all kinds of pressure inside there, potentially forcing water into the device rather than it channeling out.

I wish I could disable the home button from waking the device. This is extremely annoying. what's the point in it doing that if there's a power button? I'm constantly accidentally turning the screen on from this button while in my pocket, etc.

Seriously though, it has to be TW. The added features are welcome, and TW is snappier now, but I feel there is still room for improvement.

You could if it was rooted.

I never have this problem, and like that I have two ways to turn the screen on. I'd rather not wear out a single button by turning the screen on 50+ times a day. I like load balancing

Also, if you lock the screen, the phone will be on for what...10 seconds?

I don't understand why something so seemingly harmless in changing/muting a button function isn't an easily accessible option. :thinking:

I think it's because engineers tend to think they are the BOMB and whatever they feel should be adopted by all. What they fail to realize is that people like to have options, and don't like to be told what to do. In the end, they don't really care what we think as long as we like the product enough to buy it. For them, it's not about taking pride in the fact that they made the best phone they could make...but that they made a phone that sells well. Unfortunate really.

Wireless charging (or lack thereof) is one of my biggest gripes. Since it's not standard, the add-on makes cases not fit. Samsung should have made the Note 4 come standard with wireless charging, but they wanted to cut that corner. Now, it's a fragmented solution which causes all sorts of problems when implemented. I truly hate them for this, but I'll still buy the phone. I feel in another generation or two, they will have to include wireless charging stock, as they will start to see lost sales when all the other phones are doing it. People will start asking "why" this isn't a standard feature.
