Moto 360 Owner Observations. New/potential users check here

The mini wear launcher is buggy after the update. So I uninstalled it. I noticed today you can't set up an appointment on the calendar with the watch. That needs to be fixed.

Glad I didn't try at the chiropractor office and used my phone because I would have looked like a boob.. I didn't use Google Now until Sprint got 4G up and running. But now it's everywhere and so is Google Now.

Does the Moto360 watch work best with a motorola phone such as a droid? Does it work with the Note4 or the Nexus6? What are the experiences with users of other android phones? I'm thinking about getting one but i was wondering how compatible it would be with a samsung phone.

Considering Samsung released an Android Wear smartwatch, I'd find it hard to believe there'd be any issues with any Samsung phones. I have the Note 3 and it works perfectly. The one hiccup with Android Wear and Samsung phones is the Samsung text messaging app doesn't quite work the same way Hangouts works, so you can't send a reply using voice, whenever a notification comes up. Hangouts (and maybe the new Google Messenger app) is the only text messaging app that allows for voice reply.

As for Nexus phones? Well, Android Wear is a Google OS, so I'd find it hard to believe if any Nexus phones have issues.

As for working best with a Motorola device? Why, just because the 360 is made by Motorola? Again, the Moto 360 has Android wear, not proprietary Motorola UI. Google designed Android Wear to be more restrictive with changes from OEM's, as compared to Android OS, so the way Android Wear works (regardless of the manufacturer) is pretty much the same.

Yeah, thats the reason. I'm planning on upgrading to the Note 4 from the Note 2. I've been trying to decide between the droid turbo & the note & i think i've settled on the Note. Also, since samsung is making their own smartwatch i was curious as to how compatible the 360 would be.

Just to be clear, Android Wear was made to be compatible with all Android phones that run Kit Kat or higher.

On your phone, go to your app drawer and tap on Android Wear, scroll down and see what "Show me my heart rate" is set to.

Fit (the other option is Moto Body Heart Rate)

Fit is selected for steps too

I just noticed also that Moto Body apps under "start". This morning there were only a couple of apps listed. Seems like there are a lot of new changes happening today while I've been at work.

Thanks Lunatic for going through the trenches.

On a good note, looks like my battery issue is fixed. Yesterday at this exact same time, I was already below 70% and right now I am 93%. Granted, I have not added any additional apps just Wear Battery Stats. Tomorrow, I'll add the few apps I had installed yesterday and see if anything triggers the drain.
