[Official] Nexus 6 Accessory Thread

Did anyone get the Spigen screen protectors? I noticed that theres no cutout for the front camera. Would that affect the camera at all?
I don't have it, but I know some people who leave the camera covers that typically come on the rear lense of the phone on.

It may affect it a little, but for most peoples front camera shots it should be just fine.

I bought some iSmooth brand screen protectors on Amazon, when they arrived I was dismayed to find that the front camera cut out was in the wrong spot. The camera is completely covered by the protector. It doesn't seem to have much affect on the camera's image though.

Have you found that the Tylt works well with the Nexus 6?
Purchased three of those qi infinity chargers. I was not satisfied with the charging consistency. Even though there are three coils you still have to position the phone a certain way.

ditched those and went with the tylt. The choe stadium is also great (larger charging pad) but it's flat on can be difficult to use the handset whilst on that charger.

I have a bad habit of buying several accessories before I get the phone and ending up returning, trading, or selling them when I get the phone and put them to actual use. Hopefully I'll learn something from you guys before I do that again.

absolutely. and I have tried several different wireless chargers up to and including the nexus 5. the choe stadium and qi stone+ are also awesome alternatives. I had the qi-infinity charger (3) but returned them due to placing the phone on the stand to be inconsistent. my opinion within my environment, so as normal YMMV...

ive got this one coming in today:

even has an app for it.

Aukey Wireless charger

This unit is bigger than I anticipated, however that does not mean anything. the footprint whilst its standing up is not a factor. laying it down is can take up a little of real estate.

Charger is a 5V 2A. I had about 52% of battery life when I put it on the charger. Once it updated, it stated it was 2 hours until full.

blue led lamp to tell you when its charging. nexus 6 stand firmly on the little ledge and the ledge, at least to me, is long enough and wide enough to keep the nexus 6 put. the little budge on back means the phone rests on the bulge and not the entire surface of the phone, but this is true of any charger due to the bulge.

for you fancy cats that want a sleek looking wireless desktop charger for the office, this is the one to get! much more classier than the tylt. it comes in Gold color also (this one is silver/chrome).

again, comes with an app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aukey.mobile.luna

will also charge my two qi stone+ portable wireless chargers as well.

Whist im on a roll,

I use a sleeve instead of case. I picked up this sleeve from Linda, who hand makes these things. here is her store:

https://www.etsy.com/shop/Begoos/search?search_query=nexus 6&order=date_desc&view_type=gallery&ref=shop_search

She can custom make the sleeve to accomodate those who use cases and you can chose the color of fabric and such.

the flap has a magnet in it that latches it shut. the phone, when in there, is all the way in, and does not stick out.

Since I have two qi stone+ portable wireless chargers, and there is a little pouch on the front of the sleeve, i just tuck the stone in there and BOOM! wireless charging on the go (see photo below).

I just put the Luna on my Amazon wishlist a few hours ago! Looks like a great charger for the price. Definitely thinking about checking that one out. Glad to hear the Tylt lives up to expectation. Thanks!

So I now have 4 Cases in hand.

2X Ringke Slim (Soft Touch Black and GunMetal)
http://www.amazon.com/Free-Screen-Protector-Nexus-Case/dp/B00O152P7G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418180145&sr=8-1&keywords=Cases Nexus 6 ringke&pebp=1418180149108

Spigen SlimArmor
http://www.amazon.com/Nexus-Case-Spigen-Armor-Google/dp/B00OH4I2IC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418180124&sr=8-1&keywords=Cases Nexus 6&pebp=1418180124364

Spigen Neo Hybrid:
http://www.amazon.com/Nexus-Case-Spigen-Hybrid-Google/dp/B00OH4HTT0/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1418180124&sr=8-10&keywords=Cases Nexus 6

My daily driver is the slimarmor. The kickstand isn't the most durable, but it would be easily replaceable without replacing the rest of the case if it were to break. The protection is best of the other cases, but it is also the thickest. It has no problems fitting in my pants pockets. The buttons are covered and flush with the case. This can make it hard to know which button you have your fingers on, and does lead to accidental pushes. It is fairly easy to remove this case from the phone.

The Neo Hybrid is essentially the slimarmor inner case + a bumper around the outside of it. Less protection but less bulk. The buttons are plastic and discernable from the rest of the device. Easy removal from phone. The soft touch backing is nice. It reminds me of the black nexus 5.

The Ringke slim case is by far the thinnest, but still manages to cover the edges. Haven't tested, but the thinness would lead me to believe a wireless charger would have no issues with it. The buttons are essentially a hole to the phones actual buttons, and when the phone is installed they do not protrude out. This case is very difficult to get off, and mildly difficult to install. The screen protector it comes with is not the greatest. I threw away one after installing it and have not bothered to install the second. The black one is also a soft touch.

I bought the Ringke Fusion. The case all clear, a little bit a flex to it, covers for the usb and 3.5 jack. It adds very little dimension to the phone and feels great in the hand. The best thing about it is that their name is barley noticeable on the side and not directly on the back and over the Nexus/Moto logo like I've seen some case makers do.

Still waiting on my rugged case to come in. Because of the delay they sent me a free wallet case. But it is orange so I'll never use it so I threw it away.

I purchased the Ringke case as well. I am very satisfied with the fit, bulk and protection. Unfortunately it adds just enough bulk to keep it from fitting in the pocket of my Carpenter jeans. I am a Carpenter, so going without a case isn't really an option. It looks like the size of the phone may be a deal breaker after all.

Got my Orzly tempered glass screen protector in today. They included a free little jelly case due to shipping delays.

Haven't put on either yet.

So those (tempered glass screen protectors) are actually glued on right? Can they be removed after installation? Is this a permanent option only? I ain't never hear'd a nothing like this here craziness.

No, it is most definitely removable. The adhesive is a bit stronger than film protectors, though. I know this because I unfortunately dropped it on the phone cock-eyed when it slipped from my fingers and watched in horror as it adhered to the screen. I then had to carefully peel it off and reposition. It's thicker than a film protector by far, and it will shatter if you flex it too much. It is also just wide enough to cover the visual area of the front only; they claim to make it that way due to the curved edges and the glass' inability to form to the shape. As a result, even on my second attempt, it's still not straight and I can see a thin sliverof unprotected screen on the left. :( Not a huge deal, just bugs me. I'm not sure if it will handle me peeling it off again.

Gotcha. Well I'm sorry it didn't go on perfect for ya, I know it would drive me nuts to the point I'd have to get another one (or 10) until I got it on there straight. :oops:I'm still trying to decide if I really need a wireless charger or if I just want one cause it's cool and this is the first phone I have ever had with Qi charging. The Chloe Stadium is on sale on Amazon for 25 bucks, (+ 13 or 15 for the wall adapter) so it's not a money thing so much as do I really need it.....

Not sure if this is allowed, but here is a link to links regarding some Ringke cases on sale from Rearth through Amazon. Nexus 6 is about halfway down page. It took me a little while before I could successfully use both codes available, not until i read the following at the bottom of the page....Code works for "Sold by: Rearth" listings only, not fulfillment by Amazon. You will need to click the link under "Other Sellers on Amazon" (same applies for free shipping) Anyway here is the link.....
Rearth Ringke Phone Case Sale (various selection) from $5 & Many More + Free Shipping - Amazon Deals, Coupons and Promos
