Root [Boost Mobile] Working ROMS/MODS/KERNELS/MODEMS/ECT for the Boost S3

Well, this is annoying... trying to revert to my backup of its original factory ROM, and it is giving me some MD5 error and aborting. Is there a pure stock ROM to work with?

click the #1 at the top of your screen on the computer
stock ver is mentioned on the very first page of this thread.
read careful and slow and make sure you understand everything before diving in as for the
the directions are easy and simplest to understand thanks to Good Sir Wetbiker has made everything
simple and easy to understand.......
make sure you have everything needed for install and sometimes it don't hurt to go back and read 3 x
familiarize yourself of exactly of what it is that you are doing to your phone, not just whip this and whip that.. this way it will make it easier for you to go back and make the changes that you need to make in order for it to work for you..

if I Am not mistaken ? for everyone in here
isn't there a md5 checker that checks the integrity in phils I think I remember seeing this in there under phils settings take check mark out of "check md5" .
I had the same problem under settings of phils and turned it off so it wouldn't check the integrity of the md5 though it is highly not advisable to do because it is there to help keep you from ship wrecking your phone. but back when I was semi new to the roms and such forth I just did it and got lucky..

well hope that helps you out just make sure you have a good download of the stock ver.
though it may be good at the source doesn't always mean its good at the destination.
make sure you don't run any heavy system programs while downloading and this should help you out.

Sometimes if they have updated that file or the server you may have to delete your history for the new changes to take an effect. this is also good idea as I mentioned over on Good Sir Phases post's and is now one of the recommendations if you're using chrome on your pc this will also help clean up some of your errors cause it is accessing the old system files that are not there.
Cheers everyone enjoy.
all else fails just click the alt F4 buttons and call it the night! lmao...

If using philz you can skip the md5 and all will be ok. It is in advanced I think.
Thank you, that did the trick.

Sorry guys, but today very likely may be my last day on Boost Mobile; and I'll be returning this phone (thank you, replacement plan) to get something else.

Hopefully Best Buy will price match so I can get a Note 3 unlocked; that way even if my next provider is a dick, I'm not stuck with a brick of a phone until I can afford another, you know?

I mostly needed to restore my factory backup because that one would even crash on startup; crash even when wiping cache and doing factory resets. Singularity had been mostly good for me, and I hadn't needed to switch. However, Sprint's treatment of me and the situation has made this where I want to send a very emphatic message in return.

Annoyingly, this means I have to visit a retail store. On Black Friday.

Wish me well... I'll keep in touch,

Well I'm glad something actually worked for ya. Good on your return. Hope all goes well. This gal s3 has been one of the longest phones I've had . more less I call it Jaymz proof. Lol.

I would have to agree about Boostmobile.
They told me I owed $44 so I played it and just found out last night they was cutting my services off because of their mistake telling me the wrong amount n cut services off over $1 damn dollar upon their mistake.... I'm really keyedup bout this muffs n duffs from boost...:mad::mad::mad:

So, for anyone interested,

Returned the S3; surprised, they actually refunded both the value of the phone and the replacement plan. So that gave me more funds to work with.

However, given how busy it was going to be, they wouldn't price-match for the Note 3 like I was initially hoping for. Further, the only Xperia T2 Ultra they had in stock that I was looking to get in the event of that, was going back to $ony; perhaps it was probably for the better, considering my legendary bad blood with Sony. But I was ready to deal with that instead of having to endure another day of the nonsense from Boost Mobile.

Even so, I ended up settling... and got a pure-unlocked, Moto G; I can't tell whether it's 2nd gen or 4G LTE (going by the difference in forums here). However, even with the connection it is able to get on T-Mobile, not only do I have strong voice signal, but its data speeds are better than my home Wi-Fi.

I just wanted to take this moment to thank everyone that has been such a huge help with my S3 here - wetbiker, jay, the admins, et al. Now, if I could just properly identify what edition of Moto G I have here, I can go about properly rooting it. :mustachedroid:

Well sounds as if u have gotten close to what ur looking for far as speed n functionality. I'm glad things have picked up for ya. I'm everyone here will agree. :D we always enjoy hearing good news over ones progress. I myself have been thru 12 phones in just a have a year lol.... It does become frustrating. My moto g was 1 of them 2 things went wrong with that one battery is non removable n it leaked acid down my leg n burnt my leg so I would make sure to get a good case for it.. Just to keep u safe from chemical burns. Think mine was the xt1031

I also agree Google m# with phonearena.com is another good source

That my friend is gonna be a very tricky process. As for you have to go through way more in depth on doing that deal. I was able to do it. From the boost or tmoblie section i cant rember which moto g.
And at that time I Dont think there is or was any ROMs developed for that phone? Just a nodded stock with super user rights

Far as I would be able to help u with on that is to help get you in the right direction. But far as step by step. Gonna be hard for me to explain. Let's go to PMS for this one I Dont want to through myself off topic in here.

Hello, I also have a g3 rooted and stock and I just use wifi tether from the play store. You don't need custom rom, just be rooted, I think you have to pay like a dollar or two but we'll worth it.
