Hey everybody!
I just got my Galaxy Note 4 yesterday. I was really impressed when I set a custom wake-up command for S-Voice and I could trigger the program from the opposite side of the room while speaking at a conversational volume! I have since had to reset the cache, and reset the data, and force stop S-Voice because it was not recognizing my contacts in order to call them. Now, after reprogramming the same wake-up command, S-Voice has lost A LOT of sensitivity to it. There's no way I could trigger it from across the room, and even when I'm right next to it it's kind of hit or miss.
To preempt some possible questions:
- I definitely have it set to voice wake-up (yes I set it up since I reset the data and stuff)
- I have not dropped it or gotten it wet
- whenever I've been using the wake-up command, the microphones have been unobstructed
- I have installed a lot of apps recently (I read somewhere that that could affect it)
- I have recently set a passcode
- the "ok google" thing doesn't work from the lock screen either, but it never used to. I have to open the actual google search bar thing for that voice command to have any effect (doesn't even have an effect on the home screen where the search bar is located)
Is it possible that S-Voice grows more and more attuned to the wake-up command/your voice the more you use it? And maybe I just reset all of its "learning?"
Thank you so much for reading!!!
