Hi Guys,
probably many posts about this issue but NOT very many comprehensible answers.
Since the S3 and S5 KitKat update to vers 4.3 and 4.4.2 we have lost the access on NOT Rooted phones, to use the external Storage Option for our extSdCards.!
I am having loads of problems, NOT to mention Bugs with this new Update.
First started with the Phone being in my pocket and "Shutting itself OFF" although Battery is FULLY charged...Battery is NOT Bloated NO, its new.
Secondly the Typing reaction and typing Button selection has become an absolute nightmare cannot even type any message without having to press the Letters or Figures several times, it no longer reacts to normal pressure have to resort to hitting it really hard...especially on the two Rows on right side of the Keyboard..!
and several other Bugs which have been posted here so I wont go into that.

But now to the main problem the Storage Paths/Pfads for the various Options.
On my S3 JB 4.3 and S5 KK 4.4.2 I have:....
1.) SdCard = 16GB phone Version.
2.) Internal Telephone Storage
3.) extSdCard = SanDisk Ultra64GB microSDXC

Can someone with more know how than myself PLS explain and write the correct Paths/Pfads in both phones for me in Laymans terms..... ie /storage/emulated/SdCard/0/etc.etc.etc....or /mnt/SdCard/etc etc etc..for ALL three Options. Thanks
Would realy Apprec as I have been reading here and tried many variations and NONE have worked.!
Thanks
Cheers

Sorry my phone is not shutting off and the stock keyboard works fine for me. I have a sandisk card in my phone and my files move to it fine. What I would do is go into your phone provider with these problems for help. Mary

@Mary,
Thanks for your Reply, the Shutting Down problem seems too have gone, I have done nothing to my S5 it just does NOT happen anymore...totally mind boggling.....But nevertheless happy about that at least.
I had "Wondershare MobileTrans" installed to Copy myS3 into my New S5 and after Uninstalling this proggie the Keyboard
reacts as it should so this was probably the cause of all these HangUps and Reaction slow down.!!

/mnt/extSdCard is the path to the ext. sd card and is case sensitive. Int. memory is /sdcard0.

@KennyR,
Thanks for your reply,

I know about these Pfads/Paths you mentioned they were for the JB up until version 4.2..if I am not mistaken,
thats the way they WERE Setup on my S3 JB v.4.2 /mnt/extSdCard/BookmarkSB = SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSDXC
NOW on JB v.4.3 its showing as /storage/extSdCard/BookmarkSB and/storage/extSdCard/noteeverything..!!

BUT the KitKat 4.4.2 had different Pfads/Paths something like
1.) /storage/emulated/0/BookmarksSB
OR
2.) /storage/emulated/legacy/noteeverything
I am aware that these Pfads/Paths must be exact "case sensitive" or they will not connect,
BUT the ones you have posted are NOT working for me on my S5 KK v.4.4.2

I have been messing about with this issue for two weeks now before I decide to Post and still cannot get it working its driving me absolutely Nuts, I am hopping MAd at Google for implementing these stupid restrictions and at Samsung for allowing it to happen without releasing this INFO first to its Customers...!!
For Samsung this probably would have affected the Sales of this Model even more than they are at present.....!!
They obviously misscalculated how many pieces they would sell and are now sitting on Millions of S5's and cannot sell them..This little escapade WILL and I hope it does REALLY HURT them back..!!!!!
Even the "Winter Deal Cash Back" won't help them much as people are learning about this problem.!!

I have loads and loads of Music from my 1600 CD Collection and Thousands of Photos on 12 x 64GB microSDXC Cards and cannot Read or Write onto them, as I would like on my S5..!!

Anybody got any other Tips or Tricks.
Cheers
AJP
