Help Nexus 5 update

Thanks guys, for your input. I did a computer chat with a Google rep, and he said that there was no way for him to re-send that update to my phone. He did suggest a factory reset might trigger the update again, but that didn't work. As you suggested, i'm going to wait for 5.0.1 to get sent to my phone, and that should do it. Thanks again for your help.:p

P.S. I found a way to do the upgrade manually(over at AndroidCentral), but that involves using terminal commands, which i haven't had too much experience with. I'll wait for now.

You mean flashing the factory images?

We can help you with that if you get impatient. ;) Honestly, it will take about an hour to get and install the Android SDK (and Java platform if you don't have it already) and about 5 minutes to flash the new firmware.

Yeah, it's that easy.

I did it one time with an LG G2 and got the terminal working on my MacBook Pro. I have the SDK files from that, but even with all that, i couldn't save my LG G2(i even had OTG cables). Very bad experience for me, and it turned me off to rooting for a long time. I'm over it now, though.:p

I wouldn't be in any hurry to get 5.0.1 and even less for 5.0.

I've read horror stories about 5.0, and others who have no problems. I'm thinking that the bad experiences are related to certain apps that were on the phone during the update, or possibly a corrupted update that was pushed to their phone. All things being equal, how is it possible that one N5 would have major problems, and another would have no problems? It doesn't make any sense to me. Anyway, i've read how to downgrade the OS, if things go south. I may just give it a shot, just to see what all the fuss is about.:p
