Just a reminder that it is possible to switch the Turbo to use the newer ART runtime (as opposed to Dalvik). (Art is the runtime used by lollipop).

I had forgotten this was in the developer options of Kit Kat (it was hidden on my Note 3's version of Kit Kat).

Anyway, thought I'd post this in case anyone else wanted to give it a try. Now that Lollipop is rolling out, I have yet to run into an app that doesn't run correctly under the ART runtime.

The last I saw there was a bug in switching to ART on the Turbo - every time you restart it goes through the ten or so minute compilation ("optimization" - it's really pre-compiling) of apps for ART. Is that solved with the latest update for Advanced Calling? Or does it go through the optimization of apps every time you restart the phone?

(By the way, I recently learned the hard way that the new updated third party launcher, Action Launcher 3 by Chris Lacy, will not work on ART on a KitKat phone...)

Hmm, haven't rebooted (not sure I want to now!). If it does crop up that way I likely would go back to Dalvik. Not sure if it's related to ART or the update, but I have noticed slightly better battery life after the update & switching the runtime (probably just a coincidence and more to do with my usage). I've been pushing 5 hours screen time (I usually was averaging about 4 hours screen time).
