My biggest concern is the edges. I'm pretty careful with my phones, but lets face it ... life happens. A phone gets bumped off of the counter or slips out of your hands just once and it can get damaged. I don't worry about screen scratches, these screens are pretty tough and I have not scratched a screen in years now. But the corners and edges can get damaged easily in the event of an "oops" moment. I have been scouring the internet for a Case-Mate Naked version for simply the edge bumpers. They are sold out everywhere that I can find online ... except for the guy on Ebay selling them for like $80 each ... LOL.

I previously said that I ordered the Tudia Ultra Slim Lite TPU bumper case from Amazon and it fit my 64G Turbo. Well, after closer inspection the fit is not as good as I would like even though I could get by with it. The vendor now states on the description that it does not fit the ballistic nylon version. I emailed the vendor and explained that when I bought my case the description did not have the disclaimer. They told me that they were redesigning a case to fit the ballistic nylon version and would be available around Dec. 10 and it would come in black, frosted clear, purple, and teal. For my trouble they are sending me a new case when it is available as well as a second case of my choice free of charge. I like it when a company stands behind their product and goes the extra mile to please its customers!

+1 to this. I just bought my 64 GB Ballistic at full retail and really need a bumper for this phone. The back looks so cool I really don't want to cover it, nor does it seem to need protected. However I did manage to scratch my Droid Maxx screen so I should probably get some protection for my Turbo screen even though I hate to. Speaking of my old Maxx, I bought a decent bumper for it it right in the Verizon store. Why are they not offering one for the Turbo?

I got my new Turbo (64G BN) on Wednesday. Yesterday, my Verizon TPU case showed up. The case actually fits very nicely and overall is very good. Smooth on the back, but not slippery. Hides the BN which I really don't care about as I'm not out to win a fashion contest with my phone. This case will protect the phone nicely for the money until some other options come forward.

Not the Lifeproof case. It covers the mic and speaker completely. Like comically bad. If you use speaker for anything, hang it up. If you don't have Bluetooth, don't bother using your phone to talk on. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're in a harsh environment for most of your day........ or really clumsy, like me. Good luck mate.

The Otter box Defender is a good choice if a belt clip is desired. The only complaint I had was the irritating built in screen shield, which I removed with ease. The Flip Case I tried seemed cheap and flimsy and the fit was poor.
That's a good idea. I may try this with mine. It seems the plastic never really fits snuggly against the glass.

I am having a hard time finding a TPU case that works with a 64 GB Ballistic Nylon. Can someone post a link for a compatible TPU? Also, I've never used a tempered glass screen protector but I really want to try one. I know it's subjective, but is there a best manufacturer of these? Thanks.

I bought the TPU case that Verizon sells and it fits perfectly on my 64 Ballistic Nylon Tubo. I also bought the tempered glass screen protector from the Verizon site. Overall it is nice. They could have made it run higher up and lower down on the screen. Overall it is kind of short in length. If you did not run a case it would drive you crazy as your fingers would catch the edges. But with the TPU case, you don't notice that it runs short.

I'm another Ballistic Nylon owner who purchased the Droid Turbo not only for its capabilities, but also for the size and hand feel. Although its clear that utilizing one of the more protective "wrap around" cases would offer greater security against drop-damage, I'm unable to overcome my aversion to altering the BN hand feel... which would result in a situation where I've purchased the case for the feel and placed a phone inside it.

So.... I'm looking for the least intrusive solution. In the past Case-Mate has produced a Hula Bumper case for Motorola phones... where the "case" is nothing more than a wrapper around the outer edge of the phone... protecting the corners in case of a drop, but not protecting the front or back. I thought this would be ideal, but unfortunately Case-Mate isn't producing one for the Droid Turbo and, per a phone conversation I had with a Case-Mate phone rep today, has no plans to produce one.

It might be worthwhile to lobby Case-Mate for such a solution... and obviously, the greater the number of requests, the higher the likelihood they'll change their plans. Still, I don't know enough about the differences in dimensions of the Kevlar and BN versions of the phone to know whether they would find they'd have to develop two solutions. If so, they would have to consider whether there would be enough return-on-investment there... and given they appear to have already chosen NOT to develop a product for either I'd say the likelihood of them developing two solutions is slim to none.

NOTE: someone commented earlier on the possibility of using just the bumper part of the Case-Mate Naked Tough case... but I asked the Case-Mate rep about this and she stated that it wouldn't work. Basically, the two parts (the bumper and the "back plate") work together... and if one tried using just the bumper the phone would just fall out.

I also investigated the Seidio Spring Clip Holster. It's a vertical belt-hung holster that accepts a naked phone. No protection really, but a way to carry a naked phone without stuffing a pocket and risking damage when the phone inevitably falls out. I believe someone mentioned this earlier, but I checked and sure enough, their web site has a marketing spot for the product with some sort of "coming soon" message. Based on this I contacted them via their web site's IM-like capability... In my conversation with them I discovered that the coming holster is expected to support ONLY the Kevlar version, NOT the BN version. Of course, it's possible the BN will fit, but be a very tight fit that could impact the BN material on the back of the phone. Won't know until it's available.

This leaves me with no current options... except to consider buying one of the leather holsters available on eBay, Amazon or at Walmart. Hard to determine whether any of these will really fit the Droid Turbo though because most of the listings don't provide dimensions. Someone earlier suggested one particular leather holster on eBay... found using the following in the search window:
BLACK VERTICAL LEATHER BELT CLIP POUCH HOLSTER CASE FOR MOTOROLA DROID
TURBO

Did the original poster actually order and receive one of these...? If so, could you please tell us how it fits?

Thanks

Does anyone know what the specifics of the screen replacement are? If you bring a phone with a cracked screen to a Verizon Wireless store, will they swap with a certified refurbished device from the store stock, like the Apple Store does if you have Applecare+ on an iPhone, or will they just send it off to Motorola for repair? If it's the latter, what is the turnaround time?
I just cracked mine this morning (after only 2 weeks) and brought it to the Verizon store. They arranged to have a new one shipped to me. I should have it in a couple days and once the transfer is complete, I send the cracked one back to them in the materials they send with the replacement.
