My wife has an iPhone and often we are in the same group thread, but when I read the thread from her phone I notice I didn't get a few of the messages. The same thing happens with my Dad who also has an iPhone. Anyone else miss some texts but not all? This is very annoying.

I've used both stock app and Google Messenger. Both have the same results.

Question is, do the missing messages have anything in common? Particular senders, containing media, or...?

I've started tracking this. They happen with good or bad service and mostly group messages (maybe all? It's hard to tell). Only a few are containing media and more than half of them are from iPhones, but not all of them. Sometimes it give an error saying "message not downloaded or unavailable" and sometimes it doesn't say anything it just misses the message. This is super annoying.

I was having the same issue, go to "call settings" and uncheck "Enable VoLTE" that fixed my problem, the guy in the T-Mobile store told me about this.
