When laid flat can you get the text to go from left to right?

Ok...this is a BIGGIE for me and could determine if i get the phone.

When the phone is laid flat and you are looking at the edge face on...can you get it so the text shows the right way up? Ie the same way as the night clock? And also the text scrolling left to right?

All the videos ive seen the text appears upside down!!!

HUGE huge huge flaw if you cant.

If it's not a stock available function,any rotation app in the GOOGLE PLAY STORE should provide what you're looking for.

I myself use ULTIMATE ROTATION CONTROL.
I'd actually be interested if this will work independently of the edge screen.

Thats the issue...i have extensively searched the internet and cannot find where you can turn 'just' the edge screen around.

To me its more logical to have the text going from left to right so when you have it on your desk etc and you get texts etc you can read it as it scrolls accross.

Have to say...its the ONLY reason i wont buy one at the moment. Its a HUGE oversight by Samsung...almost embarrassing. Would WOULD they chose to put the text upside down on the side edge screen? Bizarre

Perhaps someone here who owns the EDGE can load this app up & test it for you,as there is a free 7-day trial.
Or,if possible,find a demo unit & try it for yourself.

Yes. You activate 180 rotation in the settings panel and you can do a "dance" and it will do as you ask. First you rotate the phone in portrait mode 180 degree (with home button on top) and then you put the phone down horizontally and it will work exactly as you expect. A bit cheesy way of doing it but it does work as expected.
