Nexus 5 Out of inventory

So where can i purchase a new one without getting screwed over?

I'd recommend checking Swappa (very reputal site) and the price's are pretty decent, especially dependent on the condition of the device. - http://swappa.com/buy/nexus-5-unlocked/us

Look for a brand new or Mint condition device without ay noticeable or major defects.

You could also look at Craig's list in your locak area as well.

You can even check the IMEI/ESN number on that device for free (or any device) to make sure that the device it's legit, not blacklisted and etc.. - http://swappa.com/esn

Hope this helps and good luck on purchasesing and becoming the new owner of an N5.
If you can get one with all the paperwork and box you should be able to register it for warranty through Google and /or LG.
I purchased a brand new one thought swappa almost a year ago for $280 instead of some of the quite higher priced ones ( around $340 - $500 and etc..
I haven't had an singele issue with it at all.
Best phone I've ever owned!

I think Google/LG would be making a big mistake on their part by discontinuing the production of the N5. Obviously as we all know... Is a great, an awesome phone for the price, quality, screen size and even the demand for it (constantly out of stock or on a waiting list) and not to even mention the large development community and it's a Nexus device with guaranteed 18 or 24 (can't remember) month support and maybe even longer, look at some of the other Nexus device's.

Thanks. Mr. Lucky for the post on the N5 being back in stock.
OP should try and get one straight from Google of possible.

Well I hope Google have learnt that the Nexus 5 still has real value.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
That was kind of T-Mobile's philosophy on the first galaxy s phone. Up till the release of the Samsung galaxy S 4, the galaxy S was still being sold in tmobile stores and online it was finally pulled from the line up when OTA's and security batch updates were stop.

Just noticed (probably everyone noticed before me-- I'm a little slow sometimes ;) ) that the Nexus 5 is now listed as "no longer available for sale."

Knew it was coming, but sorry to see nonetheless.

I noticed that as well. Sad to see, I was actually planning on picking one up the next time they came in stock. I'm starting to feel that my N4 is due for retirement, but I'm not ready to commit to anything that could potentially be called a "phablet".

In lighter news, the new https://store.google.com/ is kind of gorgeous!

Amazon and Ebay have new ones for sale.

Slightly disappointing, as I was having problems with spontaneous re-starts. The last event was in early January and, touch wood, the problem doesn't seem to have re-occurred since.

My warranty runs out in December this year (it's 2 years in the UK) so I'm hoping the problem has been sorted once and for all, in case there turn out to be no replacement units available.
