Help My Galaxy stellar does not ask for an unlock code says non verizon sim card

I have an Samsung Galaxy Stellar SCH-I200 Verizon Rooted

Just want to move it to Straighttalk put the sim in it doesnt give me the sim unlock screen. just says non-Verizon sim card. I dont really want to pay for an unlock code to a person who I am sure would just steal my identitity anyways. so how do i unlock this for real. Every forum link i follow on any forum sends me to dead links for any file downloads that they say i need and when i do get them downloaded the process never goes like it says in the instructions I am very frustrated with this and would love some kind person to help me with this.
current information would be awesome.

I have no wish to flash a custom rom or any other crazy-ness just pay less for cell coverage any help would be awesome

For SIM unlocking you either get (or buy) the unlock code from the carrier (the phone has to still be on an active account with them) or you buy it from someone on Ebay. There are too many possibilities to guess iit in one lifetimme, and there are no other ways.

It doesn't give me the option to put in a code at all. like i said it doesn't do anything any tutorial says its supposed to. How do i get to a code entry screen i have put a Verizon card into it and 3 different other carriers sim cards in the phone Verizon works fine all the other 3 just give me a drop down notification that says non Verizon sim card no number entry screen can be found and the phone keypad dialer just wants valid phone # even *#06# which is supposed to give me my ID# just tells me to dial a valid phone #

Where are the people on ebay getting these codes anyway dont want to give a guy in Malaysia or Korea or Russia or wherever money to run software on his computer that i could run myself to get a code
