So...My knock on feature was always kind of hit and miss. Sometimes I had to tap it several times, sometimes it'd only work in a certain portion of the screen. It worked but just not super consistently.
Recently, I flashed a G3 port and when returning back to my stock G2 rom, the knock on feature was broken entirely. So I applied a fix I spotted at XDA and I wish I'd have done this a long time ago! If your knock on is iffy, give it a shot. I can now tap twice at virtually any rate of speed within reason and it's instant results 100% of the time.

- Download the hidden apk from the OP in THIS thread. (Thanks to xdabbeb for posting). If you're going to use a file explorer for the next part, downloading straight to the phone will save time.
- Place the apk in /system/app, then change permission to rw-r-r or 0644 for those who think in numerical terms such as myself. Root Explorer or a similar root enabled file explorer can do this, or adb if you want to go old skool.
- Reboot phone.
- Either in adb shell or in Terminal Emulator (as #), enter the following:
Code:
am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n com.lge.hiddenmenu/com.lge.hiddenmenu.HiddenMenu
- The hidden menu should now be visible. Now choose menu options HW device test > Touch test > Touch firmware upgrade.
- Allow 10 seconds for upgrade countdown timer to expire.
- Enjoy super sensitive knock on/off.
