thats hard to say, it depends how he fixed it. if its a kernel patch, that may or may not be harder to integrate from caf to non caf kernels. if its a general file that ends up in the rom zip untouched from its original place in the stock rom like a lib file or a conf file, that will be simple. good question! ill know more when bad mofo updates his github sometime soon, and ill see what i can do.

Beta 1 will be uploaded soon. All credit goes to Bad_MOFO_33 for the sound fix, i ended up using his audio files in /system/lib/hw and got sound working on my end. Im going to repo sync and then ill build it quick and upload. WOOOO!

P.S. Im listening to Beck-Loser on my volt right now, on DeCAF CM11 using youtube!

Edit 2: Bad_MOFO_33, dude you are awesome. You never fail to amaze me, Im glad to have a dev partner like you and everyone else that has busted their butts trying to make this little device amazing. Just do me a favor and never stop being awesome! Actually that goes for all of you here, we have a great community and i can say i feel lucky to have you all.

Off to play gta 5 while this builds, ill upload when done. Still has some quirks with data, gonna have to iron those out. Once i upload the latest, i'm gonna make clobber and build clean to make sure everything i have works from scratch.

Got a error while trying to flash... said file was for the phone x5 and not my volt. Helpppp?

I flashed this and I get no data at all. DO i have to be upgraded to v4 for the data to work? Phone calls work texts work but i get no mobile data at all.

open updater script in the zip, its in meta-inf/com/google/android/ and delete the top couple of lines where it says about a device check. put updater script back in zip and flash. twrp does not have this problem, i just reflashed after rebuilding from scratch. also, the x5 is the development codename for the volt. this happens because all of us devs have to eventually come together and agree on a naming scheme for everything.

i know i saw it somewhere but i searched and cant seem to find out how to disable the flashing home led button. Any ideas?>

if you go into settings>mobile network>preferred network type, set it to 3g for now. lte isnt working yet, but im getting close.

It took me about 3 reboots to finally have 3g kick in after flashing the latest ROM.

I flashed the radio.zip I got from a thread here on the forum.
Now LTE works! It connected as soon as it booted and has been steady for the past few minutes.
I have crappy cell service in my house and its still running smooth.

Flashed that radio and still stuck on 3 g. Not that it is a deal breaker for me as long as i have data i am good.

I used cwm touch and twrp also if I should switch to only 3g I get it but not LTE I get no signal

So a quick update on LTE

First off I'm on virgin mobile and I'm using TWRP recovery.

After playing with my volt since my previous posting that LTE was working..
I could not make a call when LTE was lit up.
After toggling airplane mode, LTE will not reconnect but I can make calls again. Now I'm on 3g and everything is working except LTE.

I wanted to see if I could get LTE again so I started with a fresh wipe.
Flashed your ROM.zip
Flashed gapps
Flashed this VM APN universal zip here.. http://androidforums.com/threads/mod-universal-lte-virgin-mobile-apn-fix-wip-cm-aosp-4-4-x.840298/
Forgot I had done this previously..
Then I flashed the radio.zip
And wiped caches

Rebooted and LTE was working again.

However the same results no calls can be made until airplane is toggled, which results in no LTE.

Try doing it radio first? Have you tried without the APN pack?

Wanted to do some quick troubleshooting. Flashed it, sound works! However, I had no keyboard. LatinIME.apk might have accidentally been removed? Also, I keep getting a toast notification that says no apn specified on the device. I'll try flashing that apn fix and the radio, will update with new info

Edit: Same result. This means no mms for me right now
