Help Nexus 7 (2012) OTA Update for 5.0

Hi
I have not had the 5.0 OTA update yet let alone 5.0.2. Am I alone in this. I am based in the UK if that matters and it is WIFI only.

The update to 5.0 was suspended for bug fixing before everyone got 5.0. The 5.0.2 update has not yet started but likely will begin this week. I have a 2012 N7 WiFi still on 4.4.4 too. I'm not worried. We'll get Lollipop soon enough.

I got the 5.0.2 update OTA last night. It seems to be rolling out now.

Still waiting but glad it is on it's way. Finding that the battery life is not as good on my Nexus 4.

Once I did a factory data reset I am. I'm also getting ridiculous battery life now. I'm not a heavy user, but where I used to go a day easily between charges I'm now going days. That's with no change in my usage habits. :eek:

Just received the 5.0.2 OTA (maybe it was available yesterday, but I didn't turn the tablet on). After the terrible experience I had with the 5.o update (even after FDR), I didn't even want to even attempt to use 5.0.2 without first wiping the cache partition.

So now the testing begins. It seems like responsiveness has been restored to 4.4.4 level, but I think it's too early to tell yet. The stuttering boot animation is still there though, so it's not confidence inspiring. More later.

Despite my pessimism about the 5.0 update and the affect it had on my N7, I will admit that standby battery life improved, as did shutdown speed. Fingers crossed on 5.0.2 success.

Quoting myself LOL, but here's the "later" report on 5.0.2…
All performance issues are gone. Strangely, it also fixed a problem that I had previously attributed to the Apex Launcher update that I installed about the same time as Lollipop 5.0. That is, the Apex "circle" animations now work (like an old CRT monitor going on or off, but in white). The only remaining issue (and it existed with 5.0 as well) is that everything seems HUGE… almost as though the update has the wrong DPI or screen size defined. I had to reduce icon size system-wide in Apex, Play Store app icons are over an INCH in diameter, and several system menus line wrap at weird places (see attached screenshot). I'd still like Google to fix this, but I can live with it for now. At least my tablet is no longer just a paper weight.

LOL, me, too!

I had my N7 on for about an hour last night to finish reading a Kindle book, but still haven't been prompted for an OTA.

I've not experienced any nagging issues that are making me anxious to install an update, though, so it hasn't been a priority for me (i.e., I could've done the factory image install, etc. if I needed/wanted to).

I got it yesterday. Did not FDR, just to see how things would behave. Doing well. A little laggy. May FDR just to ensure best experience. Excited by the new UI though. Very slick!

I forced fed

p) the 5.0 OTA (via sideloading) this past weekend.

Got the 5.0.2 OTA immediately afterwards. Weird timing as to why it took so long for the 5.0 OTA to get sent-out.

The wife got her notification a few days ago, but we have not updated. I had done the update on my old N5 and was not impress with LP, so we're not going to be so quick to update, the wife is kool with the way it runs now.
