stormer_stock_B06_custom_1c.zip

NOTE1: If you have not updated to 4.4.2 (B06) via OTA, you should flash this partition updater AND the rom of choice. You only need to flash this once.

NOTE2: Your device must have CWM/PhilZ to flash ROMs.

NOTE3: These zips are unsigned so you will need to disable signature verification in CWM/PhilZ before flashing.

Flash in CWM/PhilZ as follows:
  1. Download ROM of choice
  2. Put the ROM zip on your sdcard if not already
  3. Reboot to CWM/PhilZ Recovery
  4. MAKE A BACKUP!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Wipe data/Factoy reset
  6. Install partition updater from sdcard (see NOTE1 above)
  7. Install ROM from sdcard
  8. Reboot
  9. Enjoy!

If I already flashed the ROM and partition updater and getting security settings forced closed and any attempt at clearing app data forces phone to reboot can I flash the partition 412 zip or is that just for errors while in philz recovery. I sent you a message but I'm really frustrated I'm at 24 hours without being able to do much with this phone. Not being able to go into security settings I can't change unknown sources or USB to get my titanium backup or link2sd

Did you try the unmodified rom that I suggested in the other thread?

UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40.zip I am not able to copy this to my external sd card nor can I copy the stormer_442_sdcard_fix.zip file either. I can download them fine on pc but it will only let me transfer the actual rom zip. And since I'm on kitkat without the sdcard fix I can't download from my phone to external sd. Do I have to flash to 4.1.2 again just to be able to copy these files to my sd card either by pc or phone download

You can flash from the internal sdcard as well.

I flashed everything and used to stock unmodified rom but I am still getting settings forced closed when clicking security. I flashed the partitioned updater. I'm really frustrated now so I also tried flashing the stock Rom without the partition updater. Same thing security settings force closes

I don't know why settings is force closing yet. You can always go back to JB if you are frustrated. I will have more time to investigate tomorrow.

weird everyone is having these issues with security settings. i updated with the ota, then tested the deodexed rom for you, and i didnt have problems with the security settings, i can access the settings no problem. maybe something is still out of place with the partition update script? im currently running the deodexed rom
I hate to ask, but would you mind flashing this zip and zipping/uploading the resulting max_partitions directory in your internal sdcard?

edit: i expect it to be around 20MB once zipped

Since there isn't a settings fix yet could I restore to 4.1 and update ota than flash the modified kitkat rom. Or would the update not even show up. With the little time I've been on kitkat makes me love it. I guess I could try super rom
You can do that, not sure if it will show up. You could also flash the update package theminor19 uploaded to get updated from 4.1.2. If someone that is not having the FC issue flashes the file I just posted and uploads their partitions, I will make a flashable that will likely solve this problem without all that hassle.

SuperR. So as of yet nobody has sent you a upload of there partitions ? I'm praying somebody does soon.

Before I make a mistake. If I flash my rooted 4.1.2 backup do I need to flash superuser also or will it automatically be in my backup. The version of SuperU I had on my phone always had an issue updating the binary. Your version 2.40 that you've posted seems to work perfect with no binary update issue. So can I flash that version you posted also or will there be a conflict since I already had superu

Nobody has sent the partitions.

You can flash the SuperSU I posted over any other root. It will remove the old root first and install new root.

I flashed back to 4.1.2 from my backup. But i have an extra 500 mb showing up in my internal memory. I had a 1.1 gb of free internal memory when i made the backup and when i tested 4.4.2 i had 1.2 gb of free internal memory but when i just checked something took up a large some of space. All my zips have been on external sd card. Any ideas and still praying something comes about with the kitkat security settings issue

When testing 4.4.2, did you wipe data before installing the rom?

Yes sir i always do a full wipe to install new rom i think what the option was. When i was trying all the various 4.4 kitkat versions it was always 1.2 - 1.3 gb free internal memory. After alot of work i got my phone to 350mb of free internal memory. So based on apps and what i had before theres about 600-700 mb of internal memory taken up and ive checked and confirmed everg app with link2sd.

FYI i am on superrom 2.7 now. Is it possible all apps are basically duplicated. All apps in internal memory and also in the partitioned sd card. Clones of each other. Ive relinked and recreated mount scripts with link2sd. Also deleted dalvick cache. Cant think of anything else. I dont know what to look for with es file explorer, etc other than my backups and such on external sd.

Any news on 4.4 and security settings
