ya. is that fancy? the post is pure stock (unrooted, carrierIQ, bloated like a 2wk-old beached whale)

then i flash zippy 2.2
then (Im using Philz) [advanced]-[re-root]
then i flash supersu and titanium backup
then i boot and update supersu, reboot, supersu settings [install as system], reboot, supersu settings [install backup script], install xposed framework, viper4audio, lucky patcher, reboot
install mounts2sd, reboot,
DONE

(I only mention all that detail by way of asserting it all works, in that order)

i would ask for an update to simplicity, as it was my goto rom for the past 5 months (thank u greatly), and since i cant seem to get wifi or reliable back cam -no matter what- on any of the CM11 variants....

but im abandoning ship to a Nexus 6, this week. free at last.
I'll talk to chevan and see if either he can update it or get me the stuff to do so. :)

Ok, I went ahead and tried this and it works and was able to get root :) Here's the steps I took.

NOTE: It would be wise to flash Philz recovery, it makes it a lot easier

(I went ahead and did a fresh install, needed to clean it up)

1. Boot into recovery
2. Flash zip
3. Reboot phone
4. After phone has rebooted, if you did a factory reset, set it all up and reboot to recovery
5. In philz recovery, go to Advanced and choose reroot
6. Flash SuperSU zip provided in this thread
7. reboot phone and you will have rooted firmware C

Alright, so this worked for me. As originally stated, the ROM was extremely bloated. Deleted some stuff with Titanium, then tried using Link2SD. No problems so far.

Thank you for our efforts.
Could you tell, if I root it with v10b, will it upgrade to v10c without problems?

It will break root, sadly. But you can always flash roms with 10b and CWM, ect.

Also: If you wanna disable 10c update notications - Long click the notication until it says app info, then uncheck show notications. Just a BTW :)

Could you please explain in details the instructions above how to root V10c? It seems that 3 people succeeded with it, so I really would like to try it too. Sorry for dummy questions below. Thank you.

0. flash Philz recovery - HOW TO DO THAT?
1. Boot into recovery - OKAY
2. Flash zip - THAT ONE WHICH IS IN THE TOP. SHOULD I USE CWM?
3. Reboot phone - OKAY
4. After phone has rebooted, if you did a factory reset (SHOULD I DO THAT?), set it all up and reboot to recovery (IS IT THE SAMe AS "TO BOOT INTO RECOVERY"?)
5. In philz recovery, go to Advanced and choose reroot - OKAY IF ANSWER TO # 0.
6. Flash SuperSU zip provided in this thread - OKAY
7. reboot phone and you will have rooted firmware C - OKAY

Have no idea. Sorry. Rooted in 10b. Try PurpleDrake lite. I've heard it's a simple 1 click root that works on 10c+ try that. (Even though its for the G3, try it anyways).

So do you have adb set up yet? Have you rooted your phone and have you unlocked your bootloader? I can help if youccan answer lol

I have a clean ms323 MetroPCS with v10c. I did nothing with it. I would like to delete all google and metropsc stuff in it, so I need to root the phone. I would be really grateful if you could explain me how to root v10c. Thank you.

Just a quick warning deleting google apps, don't delete the things you don't know what they do. So do not delete google play services, and almost any app that you can't uninstall naturally unless you know its safe to remove.

Seen atleast 1 person say that PurpleDrakeLite works 10c+. So if you really do not want to downgrade. Try that, might be better in the long run.

I've tried PurpleDrakeLite - it didn't work. The terminal showed "Error" and closed. Nothing changed.
Does anyone know how to do it without downgrading? Please, help.

There's really no easy way, pretty much if you wanna do it the hard way with cmd and adb, I'm sure there's a way. but right now. 10b is the most reliable.
