Root True back to factory.

Long story short I'm jumping from the LG Spectrum to the HTC One M8 via Verizon's Edge program. Part of that agreement is that I have to mail the Spectrum back to them within 14 days but I am unable to return it to a true factory setting (unrooted). I'm well beyond v4 and v6 for cab files and the v7 method doesn't seem to work due to the LG Support tool on my PC not recognizing the phone is connected. I have updated the latest USB drivers on my PC and disabled USB mass storage settings. Any ideas wise Spectrum people?

Here's some info if it helps.

Android version 4.4.2
CM Version 20140428-unofficial-vs920
PC Windows Version 7 Ultimate.

Appreciate any help in advance.

Hello Neph, I found this thread about returning to stock, but wanted to confirm with you. It seems like I can follow the method found here about returning to stock, but since it is not exactly spelled out step by step, wanted to double check to make sure that this is what I should do:
- Set phone in Download mode
- Connect phone to PC
- Run LG Upgrade Recovery
- At some point it will reboot and hang at 4GLTE screen
- Power/volume factory reset
- Follow the prompts
Phone info in case it may affect something: Running azoller1's Icy Fusion ROM (Stock based), ZV8 update.
I still plan on using this phone as my primary which is why I wanted to be sure.
Thanks for any info you can provide!

Thanks Neph, I suppose I should've mentioned....

Running Windows 8.1 64 bit, can't seem to get the PC to recognize the phone.

The settings this ROM has for connectivity are Charge Only, Mass Storage, Media Sync (MTP), Internet Connection, and Camera (PTP). I've tried all of these options and it keeps showing Unspecified in Devices and Printers in Windows. This is after I attempted to install the USB driver found here: http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-VS920. Made sure to reboot the PC just to be sure.

I have the latest available CWM for the Spectrum installed though, any way to use that?

I never tried on my laptop (win8.1 x64) , so I tried it tonight. I forced the spectrum into download mode manually and installed the drivers from that site. The phone now shows up at LGE AndroidNet for VZW USB Modem and LGE AndroidNet for VZW USB Serial Port (Com3) . I'm not running stock so I can not tell you what the stock rom devices would be, but placing it into download mode manually should work just fine.
