Root [ROM][UNOFFICIAL][4.4.4] DeCAF Cyanogenmod 11, Release 1

Run chkdsk. Or follow these instructions. I know it says Vista but every windows version is more or less the same.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/check-your-hard-disk-for-errors

The current 32gb SD I'm using now I never checked when I bought it. Ran fine for about 3 months then I started loosing files and having ROM errors and the such. Was a bad sector from day one... A deep filesystem check and 20 hours later, still no problems years later.

Just better safe then sorry. ; )

Just finally got around to trying Apollo music player, and it won't play my music. It says "DSP manager has failed", or something to that affect, and then skips to the next song. Fusion player is working fine, though I still get the message. I was looking forward to trying Apollo, it has a beautiful interface

Edit: made a backup of dsp manager and uninstalled. Now Apollo is working fine

until i get a new build out, anyone wanna be a guinea pig? (for real this time, you can do this on your own, not hard, just please report success or failure)

take GnssAirTest.apk, GnssPosTest.apk and GnssTest.apk from a stock rom of your choice, id recommend the new zv5, and use something like root browser or adb shell to push them to /system/app, and make sure you set the permissions to rw-r--r-- for each file. Then open up a gps app and lemme know how it works. I think that was the missing piece of the puzzle for gps, but i need confirmation from someone who actually uses the gps on their phone. (i dont) I got a lock from 20 satellites with gps test from the market.

Important note to test this, you need to set location services to device only at first then see if you get a lock. If you do, then you can set it to whatever setting works for you.

Did this about 15 minutes ago, but GPS is still dead. Neither Google Maps nor CoPilot are picking up any GPS signal.

Whoshotjr2006, bug report. When I go to recent tasks by long pressing home button, and then press the button to clear all, I get the message "com.android. systemui has stopped responding" and then the phone goes back to cm lock screen, which is not set as my primary lock screen. I can however individually clear recent apps still by flicking them to the side

Also, tried setting my usual tweak of turning on the torch by long pressing menu key, something I use a lot, but it seems that action will only ever launch Google homepage on my browser, and I can't over ride it. Is this a CyanogenMod thing? Is there a setting I haven't seen to disable or change the menu key long press action?

Thanks for the report. I pulled all 6 (the apks and their respective odex files) from the zv5 rom and pushed them to system, set permissions rw-r--r-- and rebooted, and gps test picked up a bunch of satellites for me, but when i tried to build in just the apks from zv4 it didnt work. ill look into it.

Yeah theres still a bunch of things that cause fc that should cause fcs. Just the other day i set a cm wallpaper and it bootlooped me, but it still set the wallpaper. Ill see what i can do.

I think in the button settings under settings theres an option to change this, cant say for sure right now because im flashed back to stock for the moment. Ill look into this too. Thanks for the reports.

Maybe this is because I have location services set to high accuracy mode, but I've always had a reliable GPS signal with this ROM. Had to use a speedometer app (my parent's minivan was all borked for a month or two >_> ) and it said I have 16 GPS satellites locked.

I've only had three issues with this ROM:

1. Bluetooth - Slow audio and video streaming speed when using Bluetooth (which is unfortunate because I use Bluetooth every day)

2. LTE - No calls when LTE is switched on, and no MMS when it's switched off.

3. Recording Video - I can't record video at all.

Those are admittedly pretty big issues but so far everything else seems to be working fine. Got a Lollipop CM11 theme, Nova Launcher set up to look like Lollipop, and running ART makes this ROM quick. Just waiting for those fixes.

Thanks devs!

Just had a weird issue, almost thought my phone shat out. I let the battery run down lower than I meant to playing a game, so I turned the phone off, plugged in the charger, and waited to make sure it was off and charging. You know, super charge without the apps and OS running. I went out for a smoke, came back five minutes later, and the phone was on. Maybe CM doesn't stay off with charging? That's fine, but then I lost touch sensitivity for a half hour. Pulled the battery a few times, let it sit for a while, didn't help. I went into recovery, (remember earlier I said my recovery always resets itself to cwm touch?) I could slide just fine. Tried wiping dalvik cache and that had no affect either. It finally fixed itself
