Help Bluetooth Car connection issue LG G3

I tried to pair up my new G3 to my car just a moment ago, but was unable to pair successfully. Anyone else have issues with that?

I was able to get my phone to pair but it doesn't connect automatically when I turn bluetooth on. I have to open my bluetooth settings and select my car from the list of devices. My GNex would connect automatically when I toggled bluetooth on so this is kind of annoying.

Same here. Minor inconvenience as I will simply do it before beginning the drive but it is weird.

Thanks for the update guys. I have Verizon and after multiple tries this morning it finally linked. I had to unpair my other phone for it to finally connect.

For reference, my issue arose when I turned bluetooth on after the car searched for devices. i.e. I forgot to have BT on before turning the car on. Tried it last night and remembered to turn BT on before the car and it paired no problem. Just my experience and $.02.

VERIZON SELLS DEFECTIVE G3'S AND KNOWS ABOUT THE PROBLEMS!
Do not buy this device...

the LG g3 has known Bluetooth connectivity issues. This phone will not pair with a wide variety of vehicles. I thought the issue was with my 2015 Subaru forester. The dealer put two new radios in the car. This phone would not connect with any of them. We tried it with the entire Subaru lineup on the lot and the phone only connected to the legacy. Verizon sent me a new phone(same model) no difference.
I have been on the phone with Verizon about a dozen times and they are flat out refusing to help me. They insist the only way I can get a working device is for me to pay for a full priced phone. This is ludicrous considering I am on the edge plan where I pay monthly. I'm not asking for much. I just want a phone that works... That is what I'm paying for its it not Verizon???? Shame on you! I have contacted the BBB
Why Verizon are you still selling a defective devise and refusing to replace it to your loyal customers???

Make sure you turn BT on before you turn the car on. The car system should send a connection request to the phone when it's turned on, but if BT on the phone is off it obviously won't connect. Mine auto connects fine as long as BT is on first.

I have the same issue and I hate it. I thought I was doing something wrong but I guess I am not. I use a remote start for my car, so my blue tooth in the car is on before my phone is there. I did not have this issue with my Nexus 4. It would connect as soon as I got near the car.
Hopefully an upgrade will solve this problem down the line.

I had problems connecting to my Audi MMi system, looking on the Audi forum it would seem this is an Android/Audi problem, Audi seem to like their Iphones. Following Audi forum advice, I left off trying for that day and the next day took out the phone battery so doing a soft reset , turned on Bluetooth (you always need to turn the phone on first) got in the car and switched on the MMi system. Bang lit up like a Christmas tree linking the phone and downloading my address book. Then being a good German car I had to sit there whilst it asked me 40 questions in order to train itself to my voice and so far all is well. I am in the UK and have been upgraded to Lollipop.

Just want to update, since I got a new vehicle since my original statement (2014 Ford Focus ST):
Forgot to turn BT on phone today before I got in the car. Realized it wasn't on maybe 5 minutes after driving away. I was very pleased to find that once I turned BT on, the phone and car paired immediately, without me having to go into the phone menu. Your experience may vary but I was quite surprised.

I searched on YouTube and found an answer, basically ignore the instruction in the Audi handbook set the system up letting the phone take the lead rather than the MMI . On exciting the car turn off BT turn it back on before getting back in connects perfectly every time. Phone will show up on the MMI media screen and will stream music, navigation etc all through the cars surround sound system. Note to Audi why make it complicated when it can be easy!

If you haven't already, try deleting the car from your phone's BT device list, and delete the phone from your car's BT device list, and start over pairing the two devices.
Hi .. Yes done all that...even took the dame stereo out of the car to reset it.. But still the same.. My next plan is to try my phone in halfords on the same brand stereo .. .the annoying thing is even my father in laws phone (HTC )works fine in MY car.. Not giving up!!!

I am having a different problem

My LG G3 connects well with my Car BT (Skoda Superb) but when I turn on the radio - with every notification on phone or with any other operation on phone the sound switches to BT music. So its a pain that every now and then radio stops and you have to again change the source to radio manually.

With my other phone (HTC One) this was never the case - any notification sound radio would pause for a second and after the notification beep resume again.

Any suggestions?

I have had two other android phones. After the initial paring, the other two would automatically connect to my car Bluetooth system every time I got in it. The G3, not so much. I always have to manually connect. It is a pain. I wish I could at least set it up somehow where I can just push one button on my phone to connect.
