Anyone having Messenger crashes, multi copies of text?

I am, on my N4. This is on texts to another Metro-er.

My Momski has an Iphonie and AT&Sleeze and they only hit her phone once.

My Messenger also crashes right after it sends a message but auto reboots.

The texts Are going through though.

Another better idea than to contact Metro on Faceplant?

Would another Messanger App maybe fix it?

You can always try a different app! That's weird that it only happens to other metro users! If the messaging app is crashing when you send a message to anyone you can go to settings, app manager, messaging app and clear data. Keep in mind that could delete all your messages but it will reset your settings.

I am probably looking at this too specifically but are you using a standard messaging app? "Messenger" is Hangouts (I believe) and I am not sure if that is the issue you are running into. The fact that the problem seems to be resolved as you are using something different seems like it is app-specific. Standard app for Android phones is "Messaging." If you have the option between the two, try the other one and see what happens. Just a suggestion even though it seems like you fixed it.

I'm still on KitahKat, my N4's app is Messenger I think. I think Hangouts was Lollipop, but I could be wrong.

Her Mr Bruce, Hangouts can be for any. When I set up my Moto G for the first time, it asked me if I wanted Hangouts as my default messenger. I've been using it exclusively now since last May.

Edit: I'm still on KitKat.

I'm using the native messaging app on my Galaxy Light. For the last few days messaging has been spotty. Sometimes my messages go straight through; other times, like right now, they sit and spin for interminable lengths of time before (if ever) sending. In fact, today my sister, who has an ewPhone on AT&T, sent me a memo that she had arrived at my house. I didn't get it for an hour and 15 minutes. I sent two messages to my wife; they took almost two full hours to get through. I sent her a note not too long ago; it's still grinding. Is something wrong with the network, my phone, both, or what?
