Open zip woth winrar or 7zip, extract updater-script, do the neccessary changes with notepad++, repack the file.
Doesn't the zip have to be signed???
Not rom's fault, you probably have bad reception, or something like that. Try switching to 2G only.
I dont think its a network reception issue, I didnt had this problem on the stock or the carbon rom.
Have you tried clean to install a new rom and reflash? Or re-download? Check all steps in the flash procedure too. Are you on the right APN?

Pretty good. I'm not using it ATM, but I can pull two full days with moderate to high usage. With wifi always on.
Well, it is very hard to adapt sources to behave as stock. Nothing can beat rooted stock on any phone considering battery, at least from my experience. Maybe you should just wait until I publish nightlies for pac lollipop. Currently it's in Alpha stages and I can't publish it, but let me tell you, I'm using it as we speak and it behaves very good considering everything, including battery life. And it is still in alpha
