You too huh? Lol I did the exact same thing.

Our good and hard working friend Dais Flaque made a stock rooted backup. Let me find the zip and send it your way :) please be sure to thank Dais. He worked very hard on it and his stock rooted comes with specific directions. Be sure to read carefully

This is for the L720T ONLY. I am not responsible for what you flash to your device..

Now this is the 4.4.2 NC6 Update (not rooted) Link! Dais Made Odin return to stock

And thanks to CNexus over at XDA we now have a rooted stock MK5 that I'm currently downloading to find out weather or not it's working fully and if it's an Odin tar or a CWM/TWRP flashable... either way here's the link.. http://cnexus.co/downloads/files/Misc/SPH-L720T_ROOTED_ODEXED_MK5.zip ALL THANKS TO CNEXUS AT XDA

TWRP 2.7.0.1 NC6 4.4.2 backup of rooted stock.

Make sure your recovery is TWRP 2.7.0.1, then make a backup of just one small partition(making the folders for us to follow).. like cache then reboot and go to a root file explorer.. like root browser or es file explorer. And copy/paste the whole file/folders I'm uploading in sdcard/TWRP/backups. Right next to the one you backed up.
Reboot back to TWRP and go to restore menu. Make sure the backup is there and restorable.. do a wipe of everything except internal storage and external.
Flashing may cause some slight fc's.. (force closes) this is to be expected.. it may even prevent you from singing in.. still try.. have patients.. if you can't at all.. (like the keyboard itself is fc-ing) do a battery pull and boot recovery. Wipe davlic and cache. Try again. It should still give problems.. but stable enough to sign in to gmail. Afterwards.. go directly to sprint zone.

(In this order) update prl, then firmware then software. (If not on NC6 this will update you to NC6 4.4.2)

Again go through the updates. And reboot.

Let google do its thing.. and your all set. Stock rooted and you can back this up as your own and get rid of mine.. lol ..

P.S. a factory reset may be needed afterwards too.

Here is the link and specific directions to follow to go back to stock rooted NC6. All credit goes to Dais Flaque.

Yea I hate messing with stuff after a flash just to get the basics like and whatnot. First time I flashed it I didn't kno I didn't have data. The gf was not happy when I wasn't responding for a few hours. But I think I'm done flashing for awhile after this one, it's got everything I need. Even got the native hotspot going.

Scratch that, it didn't have the long press menu option to kill the app you're.

If you saw my recent post on this forum about not having root then you'll understand the frustration of setting stuff up lol. I discovered I didn't have root after flashing slimkat. I had to flash a superuser zip file to regain root and update binary. Not a huge deal but frustrating that I couldn't use root apps right away.

While i may hate having to reset stuff up, at the same time I like exploring and customizing different options as I'm sure you and Dais do too. It wouldn't be fun to just stay stock would it? ;) I'm kinda settled on slimkat (for now) because it fits what I need for now and it has a simple layout. I'm getting used to the smaller icons.

The nc6 stock rooted don't flash in twrp 2701 or 2710 I tried all things
Well first things first. The rooted is not nc6. UN-rooted stock is nc6. And thx jack but I never could make that rooted image. All credit goes to Cnexus over at xda. But his image is of our old mk5 update. It should be 4.4x as well. As I understand it.. it should just lack the Wi-Fi fix and Wi-Fi calling. A simple update of all in sprintzone or settings app should correct the lack of updates.

Uploading a stock backup for TWRP 2.7.0.1 ... you'll need to have this exact recovery for this to work.. tested on my and my girlfriends L720t..

Okay this will take a minute to upload on my end. And your end will take a while to download. Try to be on Wi-Fi.. I know this may not be very easy if you don't have in home Wi-Fi.. lol

Need some help with my L720T. I'm currently on NG5. Android 4.4.2.

I want to go back to MK5 or at the least Jelly bean. I'm unsure on how to do this. I did get an Odin image of MK5 but some are saying that flashing/downgrading the modem will soft brick the device and I'll have to flash a NG5 modem to get my phone in useable condition again.

So many conflicting statements. Not to mention that there's the L720 and then the L720T.

Someone point me in the right direction please. I dont care about Knox since I dont have a warranty on my device anyway.

Yes you can Odin the modem but downgrading with knox is impossible you will end up with a brick what issues do you want to downgrade grade for

I actually need to change the MSL/SPC of the device. In the older firmwares the MSL could be changed. But in the newer 4.4 androids it cant be done.

I want to change the MSL and then I can revert back to the latest modem/software. Is it possible to try to take this device back to jellybean without changing the modem? I wouldn't even need a signal or anything. Just a stock jellybean, change the MSL and then revert back to latest software/modem what have you.

The L720t is such a hassle and to make it worse most of the information out there for the S4 doesn't apply to the T variant.
